Smokin’ R BBQ is a dream come true for us. We have a deep love of cooking that was instilled in us by our Grandmothers. Having a restaurant is something that we have always talked about, but never followed through with until now. The goal is to have a place where people can meet, families can gather, people can relax, and enjoy a good home cooked meal! Our sides, cakes, cobblers, pies, and cookies are all made from scratch. It’s more work, but it’s a labor of love. It’s not the same potato salad and coleslaw that you get at every barbeque place.

Our cookies and cakes are Melinda’s passion! Her earliest memories are baking with her Granny and everything was made from scratch. None of that boxed stuff! You may even find some of Granny’s sweet treats as the cake of the day!

The Barbeque is Steven’s specialty. If he can fit it on his pit, he has probably tried to barbeque it at least once. He has always loved to barbeque for his family and others at any opportunity he was given. Our barbeque sauce is a sweet sauce that was his grandmother’s recipe with a few minor changes.

We like to think of Smokin’ R BBQ as a family tradition. You might even find our girls (Candyce, Kayla, and Megan) or other family members working here. So, bring your family and stop in, have a bite to eat and say hi! We can’t wait to meet you.
