Loved Sleeping Bear Lodge for my daughters wedding. Gary was very flexible and easy to work with. The venue was beautiful and it was nice to have the entire weekend to set up, have the ceremony and clean up. Everyone had a wonderful time and thought it was perfect. Would highly recommend Sleepin Bear to anyone, and it was budget friendly and adaptable to what you could afford.

I would recommend Sleeping Bear Lodge to everyone for any type of event. Gary was very helpful with everything, he works with whatever budget you might have & will answer any questions. The venue is beautiful! I loved my reception & wedding & would highly recommend this venue.

The Sleepin' Bear turned out to be the most amazing venue that my husband and I could have ever asked for! The owner Gary was very easy to work with and accommodated my every wish (including accommodating the 200 guests I invited when the space is technically designed for 100 people)! Every guest I spoke with after the wedding were very pleased with the space and several told me it was the best wedding they had ever been too!! The coordinator Grace is phenomenal and also listened to everything I said or asked for!! She was so helpful, I barely had to do anything and everything ran seamlessly!! Our wedding was perfect for us and I would highly recommend this venue to any country couples looking for the perfect country setting for their big day!!

The most beautiful place i have seen for a wedding. I picked the place while my future hubby was deployed when he came back I showed it to him and he fell in love. People have told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Gary and his wife were so helpful and allowed us to do pretty much everying we wanted. Gary even put my husbands unit flag on the flag pole :) The atmosphere was so relaxing, no cars or outside people looking in on your wedding. It has a romantic feel and a cool place where Gary shoots his guns for the guys. So if your looking for rustic,country, relaxing, best wedding ever you have to go see gary! When we got married the fields if huge sunflowers had bloomed it was amazing! We also did our rehersal dinner at his place too. He is an awesome ol country boy and we fell in love with Gary as much as we fell in love with his place. The price you just cant beat! Being military we dont have tons of money but at Sleepin Bear we were able to have the wedding of our dreams and i couldnt imagine going any where else! A must go see when looking for venues! Sleepin Bear rocks! This venue is amazing! The farm is beautiful, the price affordable, and Gary Husley is so friendly and flexible. We had the best weekend ever.

We reserved an entire weekend for the wedding fesitivies. We stayed in the lovely cabin. We grilled out on the porch Friday night for the Rehearsal Dinner. On Saturday, we were married outside in the chapel area decorated to our liking. Our cajun/bbq buffet dinner was laid out in the converted barn. Our lively reception was largely held on the lawn outside the chapel. The DJ setup in the chapel building, guests danced everywhere! We set up a DIY photobooth under a lovely patio attached to the cabin overlooking the Reception area. Guests played cornhole, bocce ball, croquet, and other games on the lawn. We placed hay bale setting around the gaming area. My hubby smartly purchased party helicopters for the kids. Kids and adults alike enjoyed zipping those helicopters high into the air. Sunday was clean up day. Gary helped us out alot.

I am so thankful, I stumbled across Sleepin Bear in an internet search looking for a venue that was flexible and met my needs. I hope other "brides/grooms to be" find this post. It is an amazing place to start the new chapter of your life!

My husband and I were so happy we found this place! The price is so affordable, cheaper than anywhere else around nashville that we looked.....we got it friday to set up, saturday for the wedding, and sunday morning to clean up. I would absolutely recommend having your wedding here! It was beautiful :) Mr Hulsey was so helpful, if you need anything all you have to do is ask. I must say it was worth every penny!!!

I was extremely impressed with Sleepin Bear Lodge and Farms. Gary, the owner was extremely easy to work with and very reasonable. Anytime we needed to come look at the venue, he was there. When we needed to take bridal pictures there, not a problem. When it came time to decorate for the reception we were allowed to remove any of the decor that we didn't want to use. He was just very reasonable with every request he made. He even babysat some people at our wedding that maybe had a little too much to drink lol.

My day was perfect thanks to the wonderful staff at the Sleepin Bear Lodge and Farms. The farm is so so beautiful. Its the perfect place for an indoor OR outdoor wedding.

Wedding Ceremony turned out beautiful. Reception was a joke!!!
•DJ Service was nonexistent!!!
-Commercials were played verifying that You Tube was used. How difficult to have 50 songs from ITunes that would normally be played at a reception?
-Music was stopped mid-song
-Kept asking what people wanted to hear!?!
-Didn’t even get money/dollar dance!!
-were told by some guests that they thought the lady (who was supposed to DJ) was drunk!
•No bride/groom or bridal party table
•Favors were not on table, nor were the reserved signs.
•Food served ‘redneck’ style in foil pans & cheap plastic servers, asked them not to do that. & was horrible! The chicken was tough & kids said it was too spicy to eat!! Everyone was complaining.
•No Thousand Island dressing. Specific from Bride, Planner even verified!
•The crafted card box was removed & put in BARN, replaced with basket - over $40 in supplies & a lot of time wasted!!
•Bouquets were horrible and ugly, falling apart. Kids needed sturdy flowers. Not the delicate ones. Did not match the colors we asked & we did not want those old looking roses (as discussed again at the meeting). Bridal bouquet was not 8” in diameter & the flowers did not add up to $300 as quoted! They were picked from a garden out back or from the clearance bins at Kroger!
•Went outside for bubbles/fireworks & they took up chairs & cleaned up. DJ stayed outside to talk. Over 20 minutes later he came back.
•Water bottles remained in case on floor. No water station set up.
•Planner unorganized, kept saying “Trust me” … should have accepted the help from family as offered. Even called a meeting to go over finer details (cake tasting, set up of decorations, music, etc) & she actually said "Why are we having this meeting?” THEN booked another bride soon after & we were rushed out door. *Music was never discussed with the DJ only a handwritten note with the couples song, bride/father, & groom/mother dances- at least they had those dances.
