I had a destination wedding in Florida and Katie with Simply Grace Photography came to take our photos. She was lovely and very easy to work with. She was very professional but made having posed photos taken a little more fun. All posed photos and candid photos turned out wonderful! Will definitely use her again for future photo needs!

We booked Katie for both our engagement and wedding day after hearing and seeing great things from multiple friends. Katie took the time to meet with us in person and discuss the details of our vision and was very knowledgeable about the Kansas City area. She took the time to come to a planning meeting at our Venue so that she could become familiar with the venue about a year and a half before our big day. She then worked closely with our Wedding Planner and Venue to make sure that she had a great grasp of the timeline for the day’s proceedings. Additionally, she came to the rehearsal so that we were aware of where to look, pause and stand to guarantee the best photo opportunities for her. This made sure that we had ample time for our photos and didn’t feel rushed through the ceremony or reception.

Katie and her second shooter did a great job capturing us getting ready and hanging out at the Airbnb that we had for the wedding, as well as at the venue. They were able to capture nuances and intimate moments without being intrusive. We learned early on during our Engagement shoot that Katie had a way of making us feel comfortable and at ease, as we don’t like being photographed. She was able to catch candid moments while making us laugh and was very creative with the different areas she had. Katie used a combination of her lighting and the natural lighting, and we were in awe of the results.

Katie was able to photograph the ceremony in a deeply personal way, highlighting the important, sweet, and emotional moments. She was able to roam constantly getting different shots during the cocktail and reception. But most importantly, she was able to time it perfectly for us to step out and have the golden hour photos that we loved. She took the most beautiful background photos with a cotton candy sky that we will have framed and it was perfect. Her commitment and passion were clearly at work, as it was so cold.

We are so thankful and happy with Katie’s photos and couldn’t have imagined any other photographer being there to capture all our love and memories through our engagement and wedding. We will be keeping in touch with Katie to take her through the rest of our life moments- hopefully in the future for baby and family photos.

Kate is incredible! She cares so much about capturing the special moments and knows how to create those moments and also make you feel comfortable. She’s funny and talented and we connected instantly at our first meeting. We’ve been fortunate that shes been able to capture all of our important moments, whether wedding, maternity, newborn, she’s the best of the best! She also offers great value and more prints than other photographers. She cares so much about her clients and you’ll see that in every picture!

Katie made my day completely seamless. We did not have a professional planner to organize timeline of the big day. Katie took it upon herself provide an agenda to ensure we got the photos we wanted while also allowing us to enjoy our special day.

She was open to any set up we requested. She was punctual to all in person and over the phone communications leading up to our rehearsal and wedding. She was on time and never had to worry she was where she needed to be to get that special shot.

Hiring Katie was a no brainier in my opinion after viewing her past work.

Katie was an integral part of our wedding day and the days leading up to it. She's very organized and punctual. She even had a rough itinerary for us to keep us on track with time, which proved that she will go above and beyond to capture our wedding, taking note of the best times of the day to get the most picturesque shots (we had our wedding in Lake Tahoe). We didn't wait very long to receive our photos and it arrived in a beautiful box! I highly recommend Katie solely on her professionalism, knowledge, and talent behind the camera.

There are not enough words to describe how fabulous Kate is! She has documented every major event in our lives from engagement, to weddings, to our newborn photos and family photos! She puts you completely at ease and has an incredible eye for detail while being easy going, fun, and professional. She had everything timed out perfectly on our wedding day and it was so refreshing and calming to know she had it all on a schedule and under control! And the photos?!
