Sieversma Photography is based in southeast South Dakota between Beresford and Vermillion. My name is Melissa Hamersma Sievers and I am the photographer and business owner. I do on location photography, I do not have a studio currently.

My location allows me to easily travel to Sioux Falls, Sioux City, into Nebraska and Minnesota. I would travel to other locations too if a client asks.

I've been in love with photography since I began to learn the craft in college, well over ten years ago. My full time job now is at a local public television station. For nearly nine years I have worked as a videographer and also an associate producer. Regardless of the medium, creating captivating images is a skill. I've spent a lot of time behind still and video cameras. Recently I work to gather content and interviews, which means that I truly enjoy meeting and working with new people. I want to convey the essence of who the person is in every portrait and the joy of the celebration in every candid photograph.
