I am not sure why Sequoyah Country Club does not have more wedding reviews, but if you are searching for a venue for your wedding, please let Sequoyah Country Club be the one you choose. I just had my wedding last Sunday at Sequoyah Country Club and it was fantastic. I truly think it went so well due to the staff there. We toured and or inquired with over 20+ venues around the Bay Area. There were none that fit exactly what we wanted within our tight budget. We originally had settled and booked our wedding venue elsewhere. Then I saw a picture on instagram of Sequoyah Country Club and fell in love. For some reason, this venue did not originally pop up during my search so I quickly sent an inquiry. Within minutes upon inquiry, I’m on a call with the Catering & Events Manager, Andrea. Andrea is the best Event Manager/Venue Coordinator we have ever inquired with during our wedding planning journey. She is so nice, professional, and responsive (usually within hours of emailing). I also want to mention Sally, the Clubhouse Manager/Food and Beverage Director, as she was incredibly helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process as well. I asked them a whole bunch of questions and it felt like there was nothing that we couldn’t do. Surprise Mariachi band playing during cocktail hour for my husband? No problem. Churros, smores, or even bringing your own custom Mexican cups for signature drinks? Absolutely! Outdoor bar area for cocktail hour or pictures on the top of the hill for the first look? Andrea and Sally got your back. I asked so many questions throughout the year of wedding planning and they were always so nice and quick to respond.

When we toured the venue that week after inquiring, upon arrival, the beverage truck immediately came by the ceremony site and gave us a beer and soda. We felt like we were royalty. We had our food tasting and I requested a diet coke. They didn’t have it in the kitchen and the gentlemen serving us went searching for a diet coke and brought me one. They truly go above and beyond. During our food tasting, I couldn’t believe how delicious everything was. You can literally have lamb chops as an appetizer during cocktail hour with no extra cost. Our guests raved so much about the food. Everyone was telling us how they had like 7 lamb chops each! It was a hit. I’ve heard horror stories of chicken being dry when mass produced at weddings. However, when we were served the plated stuffed chicken during the dinner, it was juicy and flavorful. The bar staff was incredible going around to each table serving wine and beer when guests had empty glasses. The food was brought out so fast to the point that we were ahead of schedule. I don't know how they do it, but their staff works at an efficient pace. Also, the night of the wedding, the staff turned on all the fire pits outside on the patio which was so nice as guests would take a break from dancing and go outside to mingle. In the morning while getting ready in their bridal suite, the staff will frequently stop by and ask if you want to order any more food, coffee, etc. They really take care of you and it’s one less thing to stress about on the big day. They will also set up all the tables, chairs, silverware, etc. It’s all included in the price and done the morning of. They also allow you to bring all your decor the day prior, and to leave your cars overnight the night of.

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and well kept with plenty of spots for photos. There’s also plenty of parking and it is gated with security which was a plus. But I can go on and on about how much Sequoyah Country Club has done for us making our wedding planning process and the day so seamless and easy, but let this be your sign to check out Sequoyah Country Club.

I wanted to get married near the Redwood trees without needing to drive all the way to Santa Cruz and when my now husband found this venue after a google search, we went to Sequoyah Country Club for a visit and from the moment we walked in and had our tour with Andrea, we knew that this was going to be our wedding venue - also MAJOR plus that they had a room for my bridal party to get ready with hair/makeup. None of the venues we toured had that option available. And the venue having multiple rooms for dining, dance floor, dessert - it let our guests spread out and get to mingle without being cramped in one room.

Cut to less than 9 months later, we were so happy with our choice! Andrea is super responsive, friendly, and eager to partner to make sure that our wedding day was fun, memorable and wonderful. Sally was equally amazing to work with - they work so well together and did not skip a beat throughout the whole planning process.
They have a great vendor list as well - we selected our florist - Anne Mendenhall Flowers and DJ - DJ TwinSpin. Great to work with.
Our tasting was wonderful - the food was so yummy and they were very receptive of the changes we wanted to make for our wedding. One of my wedding guests recently told me that the food was the best food she's ever had at a wedding!
The fact that we didn't have to rent linens, napkins, etc and they had practically everything and was also more than willing to let us borrow what they had, was nothing short of amazing. It was one (or five) less things to worry about when planning our wedding and we are so grateful to Andrea/Sally for making that part of the wedding planning process so smooth. They were so flexible with what we wanted, last minute changes we made, was so supportive every step of the way. The staff at the venue whether it was at the tasting or on the day of our wedding, was so professional, helpful, and friendly as well. Overall contributed to a memorable, fun wedding experience that we will cherish.

We were absolutely thrilled with our decision to host our wedding at Sequoyah Country Club! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Firstly, the venue itself is breathtaking, both inside and out, offering stunning views that set the perfect backdrop for our special day.

Sally and Andrea were delightful to work with. Their professionalism, patience, and wealth of experience made the planning process seamless. They went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect, and their guidance was invaluable as we navigated the intricacies of wedding planning.

One thing that really made Sequoyah Country Club stand out for us was the all-day access to a dedicated space where the bride and bridesmaids could get ready, complete with food and beverage service. It was such a game-changer! We loved how easy and luxurious it was to get ready there and then seamlessly transition into photos. Plus, having all-day access gave us the flexibility to start photos earlier in our schedule.

Additionally, the opportunity to sample the menu with and wines with 2 additional guests before the big day was a wonderful touch. Not only did it allow us to make informed decisions, but it also created a special memory for us and our moms.

Speaking of the food, it was truly outstanding. We loved it our guests raved about the food!

And it's not just Sally and Andrea who deserve praise—the entire staff at Sequoyah Country Club were fantastic, ensuring that everything ran smoothly on the day.

In summary, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. Sequoyah Country Club exceeded all of our expectations, and we're hoping to attend/host many future events there. Thank you for making our special day truly unforgettable!
