My wedding was rescheduled due to Covid and Elizabeth held my hand the whole way. She was responsive and dependable. My wedding set up was PERFECT. I was able to just enjoy my day and she handled everything. I have no complaints.

I had the most amazing wedding at Secrets Maroma on April 6. Elizabeth is AMAZING - professional, organized, helpful, empathetic.. I can go on and on. They made this beautiful and seamless, not to mention the resort is unreal and I’ll be returning for my one year anniversary.

I just got married at Secrets Maroma Beach on August 18th, and I truly cannot express in words how amazing our wedding was right on the beach! I know picking a resort for your destination wedding can be a daunting task, but you are in amazing hands with Secrets. A HUGE shout out to our wedding coordinator, Arely, whose attention to detail is exquisite, and she pulled everything off without any glitches. From the moment I emailed with her about 1.5 years before the wedding until the moment we checked out, she was by our side every step of the way! Not to mention that we planned the entire wedding via email, which wasn't hard at all! 10+ stars for their wedding department! The actual wedding day was beyond my wildest dreams, and the Secrets staff are so welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in an Ocean Front room, which was gorgeous! The food was fabulous and it is a perfect private adults only all inclusive resort. Highly recommended for a wedding, honeymoon, or just a quiet couples getaway! You won't be let down :)

My husband and I just got married November 2016 and had the most amazing honeymoon. We stayed from November 20th-29th in a Preferred Club Ocean View Suite. We were on the top floor in room 2549 and had the most amazing view of the beautiful resort, main pool, and beach. Our room was beautiful and clean. Our maid service came twice a day and our mini bar was refreshed daily.

Secrets Maroma did everything to help make our honeymoon so special for us. From flowers in the room, to champagne waiting for us when we got there, to breakfast in bed, a complementary dinner on the beach, and a complementary couples massage. Our concierge knew our names by the second day we were there and took care of everything we needed. We booked our excursions right there on the resort and had no trouble booking them last minute. We did the ATV's extreme (which included the ziplines and the cave snorkeling) and a Scuba trip. They were both amazing and we highly recommend them.

The food was excellent at every restaurant and we didn't have a bad meal the entire time we were there. Drinks were great too! My favorite was the French restaurant (Bordeaux) and my husband's was the Mexican (El Patio). We never had to wait to be seated, and no reservations needed to be made except for the Hibachi at the Asian restaurant.

The shows and entertainment were fantastic! We were a little disappointed that they repeated the shows every week. Since we were there for 10 days and 9 nights, we didn't have new shows to see on the last few nights we were there. But we ended up just relaxing in the room or going to the sports bar to play some games or just hang out. The entertainment crew was AMAZING!! They knew us by name after the first day and were always encouraging us to participate in the activities, which we always did! This was a great way to make friends while we were there. Shout out to Sharon, Nacho, Fernando, Oscar, Mimi, Palo, Rosy, and the rest of the entertainment crew who were amazing!!

I noticed there aren’t that many wedding reviews for Secrets Maroma, although when we were there, there was a wedding almost every day.
Cecilia Reyes is wonderful. She definitely made our wedding dreams come true.
The destination wedding process:
1. We contacted her over a year ago, & she sent a questionnaire asking what we wanted, & then we put down our deposit.
2. We chose to do a site visit with Cecilia, because sometimes it’s difficult to express your thoughts & dreams via email. It was worth it, because we figured out what worked & what didn’t work. We were able to choose our food, flowers, location & meet our officiant. Note: If you’re an OCD bride, & expect prompt communication, just note that Maroma accommodates approx. 275 weddings a year, so they may not be able to answer every email but they try their best.
3. Cecilia contacted us about 2 months prior to the wedding to finalize details. What really impressed me, was how well she took care of one of our guest. We have a friend who has severe, severe environmental allergies (all chemicals, scents, a large amount of food) & the wedding coordinator & her whole team accommodated her not just on the wedding day but her whole week. My friend didn’t have one incident.
4. We met Cecilia a few days before the wedding, & finalized the setup details of our wedding.
5. On the day of the wedding, she delivered our flowers to our room & discussed whether or not we should have it inside or out. We opted for outside, & the day was perfect. The weather, the food (ceaser salad, seafood chower (awesome), surf & turf, & puff pastry), & the service was out of this world.
She even accommodated my Chinese tea ceremony, & made it work for us. It was very special for our cross cultural marriage.
Past brides have told me that wedding days are not perfect, something will go wrong. Well I must be the lucky one, because everything was perfect. Cecilia & her wedding team are amazing. She made our happily ever come true!

We had our honeymoon at Secrets Maroma Beach at the beginning of June, 2015. We had such an amazing time. The resort was everything we had hoped for - romantic, beautiful, and updated. Our honeymoon was the perfect balance of rest, relaxation, and fun!

We spent the majority of our stay on the beach. The beach at Secrets Maroma was fantastic. We reserved a beach cabana for our entire stay, and it was well worth it! It was great to never have to worry about finding chairs and to always have shade when needed! We chose the beach cabana in the front row on the far right if you are facing the ocean, and it was perfect. The cabanas have a comfy mattress inside with pillows. Outside, you have chairs and a small table, perfect for if you want to enjoy some sun. Every day when we arrived to the beach, Gerardo, the beach concierge, was quick to greet us and set us all up - laying out towels for the cabana and our chairs, and bringing us a bucket of ice with waters. The beach has nice, white sand. There was some seaweed, quite a lot some days, but there were workers constantly raking it up. The water was fantastic. Nice and warm! The service on the beach was fantastic - Erika was always very attentive - we were never without a drink! They also have a small menu from which you can order lunch. We enjoyed the burger, pizza, and nachos. The salads were also quite tasty!

We head up to the pool for the afternoon a couple of times. We were typically able to find chairs quite easily. The pool area was a lot of fun, and the pool itself was so refreshing. We especially loved the FOAM party. This is not to miss!

I am a picky eater, but I was able to find delicious food at all of the restaurants. Our favorites were El Patio (Mexican) and Portofino (Italian). Our server, Jonathan, at El Patio was great! He offered us a tequila tasting one night, which was fun!

We recently stayed at Secrets Maroma for a couple of days after our destination wedding, and we were so pleased! We had our wedding at another resort and our travel agent suggested getting away for a couple of days afterwards...and suggested Secrets Maroma. She was so right! The property was beautiful, we had a swim out suite which was relaxing, heated and was our favorite part of the room, the food was amazing (crème Brulee is a must) and our concierge Rafael was perfect! We wish we would of had the wedding there!

I would go back here over and over!!! The staff is so friendly and attentive. They are so welcoming. The environment is great. Food was great. Such a beautiful place. Wish I could go back right now!!!

Secrets was amazing... We got married on the beach just us and it was everything we dreamed of the location is perfect.. The views are amazing and there is tons of different spots for different and unique photo shots.. The rest was quite and fill with honeymooners which made us very happy.. We stayed a week in this location and moved to another resort to finish out another 4 days.. Let me just say I wish we never changed hotels.. Went to Paradisus la perla and all I can say is everything was better at secrets.. My husband and I can't wait to go back the food at the Mexican restaurant was the best and every night we ask for Antonio who was the most amazing waiter in the resort.. The pool staff was great and very attentive.. Barbara was my wedding coordinator and she did an amazing job even taking the time to convince me the rain was going to stop on the day of our wedding which it did:).. The minister they have for there weddings was so graceful with his words I couldn't have dream of a better day.. We count the days when can come back..

I was completely thrilled with our wedding at Secrets Maroma Beach. The resort was amazing in terms of the atmosphere, accommodations, food, and service. We had been to one other Riviera Maya Resort, but Secrets Maroma Beach was at least a step better on every level, especially the beach. We wanted to get married right on the beach, so the soft white sand was perfect. There's a little wedding canopy structure surrounded by palm trees that was a perfect backdrop for our day. Our wedding coordinator, Valeria, was on top of everything for us and made sure everything went just right on our wedding day. My only complaints were minor details - our four-course dinner lasted a little too long through our reception. We had to step away before the main course to get a few night photos before our photographer left. After dinner, there wasn't much time left for dancing. We got the Secrets Ultimate wedding package, so my makeup and hairstyling was included, and so was photography, video, flowers, etc. We were able to substitute the package photography for a trash-the-dress session later because we contracted a different photographer for our wedding. With all these details, I was content with the value for the price we paid. Overall, the atmosphere was amazing, and I can't wait to go back for our anniversary. Overall, the atmosphere, the service, and the beach make this resort a perfect choice for weddings.
