We had our small wedding ceremony at the Cliffs of Moher and stayed at Castle View Lodge with our families in May 2023. Niall and Darra were amazing hosts and planners and we cannot recommend them enough! From first contact to the day of the wedding they were prompt at replying to our emails and every question we had along the way. They recommended local suppliers and restaurants and were very knowledgable with the cliff side locations, arranging access with the local farmers and giving us invaluable advice on what to expect - it might be daunting to plan a wedding at a location you’ve never visited before, but rest assured you are in capable hands with Niall and Darra! They were also with us every step on the day of the wedding, from arranging the breakfast, coordinating everyone, helping with last minute finishes, and even staying with us during the ceremony on the cliffs to make sure no tourists came wandering our way.

The house itself was also simply stunning and the location is hard-to-beat - it is right in the centre of Doolin and we ended up doing our first look in the backyard of the house as it faced an ancient castle and the view is beautiful. All the rooms were clean, bright and spacious and everyone couldn’t stop mentioning how amazing the place was and how welcoming Niall and Darra were (the hot tub is also a plus!) We had the Burren Breakfast on the day of the wedding and the food was fresh and delicious. Our stay went seamlessly and Niall and Darra exceeded all expectations - I highly recommend Sea View House hope we can return one day!

Niall and Darra were awesome! We couldn’t have pulled off our Ireland wedding from the states without them! They were so helpful and knowledgeable about getting married in Ireland and lining up a Celebrant to perform the wedding, recommending local service providers for photography, video, make-up and hair, food, flowers and even a wedding cake. The lodging was 1st class! And the day went off without a hitch. They arranged access to a cliff location from a private landowner for our ceremony and the photographer even stayed with us all day. It far exceeded our expectations.

Niall and Darra truly helped make our experience smooth and we had a remarkable time in Ireland. They are incredibly responsive and made our wedding as easygoing as possible. When deciding on the many vendors we would need, they were able to provide a thorough list of people they had worked with, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for an incredible event with our friends and family. We could not recommend The Lodges at Sea View House Doolin enough and cannot wait to make a return visit.

The Sea View House offers an affordable elopement package that covered everything we were looking for! We inquired through another organization/company in Ireland, and it was around the same cost, but did not include as many features that Sea View House did such as hair/makeup for the bride and lodging. Niall and Darra are reliable, professional, and flexible. They offered many recommendations and have a lot of contacts in the area for photographer, transportation, officiants, etc. that they know well. Our planning process with them was seamless and the day itself was perfect. We already cannot wait to return and stay again!

We got married at the Cliffs of Moher in September 2021 and the Sea View House was the perfect place to stay. The Burren Breakfast is amazing. The Sea View House facilities are first class and gorgeous. Niall and Darra are amazing hosts and helped us coordinate everything for the ceremony. From getting us the rights to go onto the private property for the most picturesque location, to the best photographer, videographer, and celebrant we could possibly imagine, we let them lead the way and our wedding day could not have been more perfect. Preparing for the ceremony at the lodge was comforting and stress free. Everything we needed was available and Niall and Darra were there to help us along the way, making sure we didn't forget anything and helping us pin on boutonnieres, fix ties, and hold our personal belongings. They even had a pint with us at the end of the day. The entire experience was amazing and we were were lucky to have shared it with Niall and Darra at the Sea View House.

From Texas. We just celebrated our 6th Anniversary! SeaviewHouse was the perfect setting for a wedding. Darra and Niall could not have been more professional warm and lovely. And the breakfasts were amazing. We hope to celebrate our 10th anniversary there (after the world gets back to normal.)

My husband and I traveled from virginia to have our elopement in Ireland and we would not have wanted to share this experience with anyone else! Sea view house doolin was amazing and so accommodating!! Plus the breakfast was some of the best meals we had while in Ireland! Thanks again, so much!

From start to finish Niall and Darra made our destination wedding everything we could have dreamed of and more.

My husband and I are from the US and when we got engaged last winter we knew we did not want to have a traditional wedding so I started searching for destination wedding options in Ireland, a place that was on both of our bucket lists. I found the Sea View House on Wedding Wire and after seeing their great reviews on here as well as on TripAdvisor we decided to book with them and have our wedding on the Cliffs of Moher. We had a group of 18 people and due to the recent addition of their 2 beautiful lodges they were able to accommodate us perfectly.

Upon arrival Darra quickly steamed my dress and got us set up in our rooms so that we could immediately start exploring the town of Doolin. The rooms and common areas were warm and welcoming and everything was perfectly clean which was very much appreciated especially after having already been traveling for a few days. Darra made quite a few recommendations for food and drink in town and happily answered any questions we had.

On the day of our wedding they could not have been more helpful. We did hair and makeup in the living room at one of the lodges which provided lots of natural lighting and had large windows looking out at the fields and their two beautiful horses. Their daughter was the makeup artist and did an amazing job on everyone. Our makeup did not budge all day even on the windy cliffs!

Every detail was taken care of including getting a bus for our party up to the cliffs. I highly recommend doing this as the road is very tight and the bus was able to drive right up to the ceremony location which otherwise would not have been fun for everyone to walk to.

Niall stayed and helped literally hold down the fort (it was sooo windy!) during the ceremony. We decided since it was so windy that we would go back to the lodges and take our family pictures in their beautiful, spacious backyard that just so happens to have a view of a castle. Dreamy.

After pictures we had dinner at OAR based on their recommendation, which was delicious, and spent the rest of the night dancing and hanging out in the kitchen at the lodges which was just perfect for us.

Every single vendor that was recommended to us by Niall and Darra was amazing. Everyone involved truly went above and beyond to make our day the best it could be. It is obvious that anyone they recommend is truly someone worthy of the recommendation which was very much appreciated especially coming from the US and not knowing anything about the area.

This is a terribly long review and I could keep going but hopefully by now if you were at all interested in booking your wedding through the Sea View House that this review will have you sold. Their home is beautiful, clean, affordable and run by 2 amazing people who truly care about their guests and their experience. (Darra buttoned up my wedding dress and Niall fixed my necklace when it broke. Seriously.) Not to mention how lovely the town of Doolin is! We will definitely be back for an anniversary trip in the future.

My now husband and I are both from Texas. We were nervous to pay for a wedding abroad but I have zero regrets! The day of our wedding we still were missing our luggage. Not only that but some of our family still hadn't arrived yet! Dara and Nial helped push the wedding back, told us where to go shopping to get some of the missing items, and even let my sister borrow a dress when the airline lost her luggage too!
I cannot recommend them enough!
