SCAD Ivy Hall is a beautiful wedding venue situated in Atlanta, Georgia, and rich in the history of the area. Originally constructed in 1883, the building, formerly the Peters House, was acquired by Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in 2008. The home, which is considered one of Georgia's earliest examples of Queen Anne-Victorian style architecture in America, was subject to two fires, one in 1917 and the other in 2000. Since its acquisition, the space has been brought back to life to act as a truly unique backdrop for weddings and other milestone events. With enchanting indoor areas and vibrant gardens, couples can celebrate every element of their wedding journey in one incredible venue.

This capacity reflects a cocktail reception-style celebration, with a capacity of 145 for a garden ceremony, 150 for a seated dinner outdoors, or 100 for a seated dinner indoors. The grounds of this elegant venue feature a private entrance away from prying eyes, and a water fountain for fairytale-like photographs. Inside the red brick home, couples will be met with sheer sophistication, opulent finishings, and romantic chandelier lighting. The home has various rooms for attendees to explore including a foyer, dining area, library, and an enclosed porch with stunning views over the property. Also onsite are get-ready suites for the happy couple to avail of throughout the day.

An elegant, historic venue
We didn't need to decorate the venue, as the space was already full of personality.
Chris, the venue manager was super helpful and made sure to be there for us every step of the way. Some of our vendors weren't part of their preferred vendors list, but she made the process very easy for us.
The location is very central to Midtown so it's very easy to get to, but it feels very private. The views are also beautiful and there are many (so many) places to take pictures!
Beautiful, Unique In-Town Venue
one of a kind, in-town wedding venue, it doesn’t get much more central or much more beautiful than Ivy Hall. We held the ceremony and reception in the garden and the dinner in the drive in front of the home. The house was open throughout for guests to come in.
First, Alison and then Rebeka were our contacts at the venue and they were both superb! They offered insightful tours of the property to us and family on several occasions before the wedding. As a venue, the rules and guidelines are sensible and allow for a lot of creativity! The SCAD team was super responsive and accommodating. Can’t recommend highly enough!
