Originally constructed in 1883, the building, formerly the Peters House, was acquired by Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in 2008. The home, which is considered one of Georgia's earliest examples of Queen Anne-Victorian style architecture in America, was subject to two fires, one in 1917 and the other in 2000.
