Let me tell you about Maria and MK Events, they truly SAVED our wedding.

We came to Maria just three months before our wedding date and asked her to plan our entire wedding in that incredibly short amount of time. Not only did she pull it off, but she gave us the wedding of our dreams.

For some background, my fiancé and I are from California and decided to get married in Mykonos. For a year and a half leading up to our wedding, we had been put through the wringer with a different wedding planner. It was an awful experience, and eventually, we made the difficult decision to fire them. At that point, we were devastated, overwhelmed, and only three months away from our wedding in Greece with so much still needing to be done.

We frantically started reaching out to other wedding planners, and Maria was the FIRST person to respond. From the moment we met with her, we instantly knew she was the one. She made us feel heard, excited, and, most importantly, at peace. For the first time in the entire planning process, we felt like we had someone we could genuinely trust with our wedding.

Maria listened to everything we wanted, down to the smallest detail. She understood our vision, respected our budget, and always gave us different options for staying within that budget without sacrificing the things that were truly important to us. She never made us feel like we had to settle. Instead, she found ways to make what we wanted happen.

We met with Maria multiple times over Zoom in the months leading up to the wedding, and after every single meeting, we became more and more excited for our wedding day, a feeling we honestly had not experienced once with our previous planner. And keep in mind, there is about a 10-hour time difference between California and Greece. Maria would still meet with us late in the evening her time just to accommodate our schedules. That level of dedication and care meant so much to us.

Then came the wedding day, and it was absolutely spectacular.

Maria and her team handled EVERYTHING. The furniture, equipment, vendors, decorations, setup, timing, anything you can possibly think of, Maria and her team handled it flawlessly. We didn't have to worry about what was happening behind the scenes because she had everything under control. We were able to actually be present, enjoy our wedding, celebrate with our family and friends, and take in every moment.

And somehow, after having only three months to put everything together, the wedding felt like it had been meticulously planned for years. Every detail came together beautifully, and seeing everything we had talked about brought to life was incredible.

What stood out to us most, though, was Maria herself. She genuinely cared about us and about making our wedding special. She wasn't just our wedding planner, she became someone we completely trusted during one of the most important moments of our lives. After everything we had gone through before finding her, having Maria in our corner completely changed our wedding experience.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Maria and MK Events. She took us from feeling stressed and defeated three months before our wedding to giving us a day that was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We started our wedding preparations a little over a year in advance. Coming from New York to Greece. With many prompt email exchanges with Maria, we always felt supported and heard.

We had never been to the island that we decided to get married on. Maria helped with finding all the right venues for us on Hydra. We gave her a budget that she followed very closely. We had multiple days of events and everyday I felt her calm presence. She checked in with us often to make sure things were going smoothly. Her team and the vendors that she recommended were perfect!

Maria and team were amazing. Maria was highly diligent in planning each of our events and making sure it was done to our liking. Destination weddings are never easy but a multi-day destination wedding with 150+ guests is even more difficult. I highly recommend Maria - our guests to this day still text us saying "This was the best international wedding we have been to".
