Thank you so much for you interest, we are so happy you are looking at our camps as a locatiojn for your Wedding Weekend! There is no better place to gather your family and friends to celebrate this event! A destination wedding on the lake will be filled with beautiful scenery, fun & adventure, as well as some logistical questions for you and your guests.

We have two camp locations that offer wedding venues. North Woods & Pleasant Valley Camps is our mainland location which is the home of our kids camp location and Sandy Island Family Camp is our island location. We host weddings and groups in the spring and fall at both venues.

North Woods & Pleasant Valley Camp

In choosing the mainland location you will have both kids camp locations all to yourselves for the weekend. Our camp is under beautiful pines and spreads out over 200 acres of property with two waterfront locations. The dining hall has a capacity for 200+ guests and our cabins are plentiful enough to accomodate all of your guests. Friday night BBQ and campfire with s'mores kicks off your weekend, leading into breakfast and lunch Saturday and brunch on Sunday with lots of time to enjoy the camp's waterfront and grounds outside of meals and your ceremony.

Sandy Island Family Camp

For nine weeks in the summer Sandy Island is a YMCA Family camp. Because of this, we are only able to accommodate wedding groups on weekends outside of our camp season. This will generally be May-June, and September after Labor Day thru October.

If you chose Sandy Island for your wedding, you will be renting the full 66 acre island for you and your guests! There are 43 cabins in a variety of sizes for your guests to stay in Friday night thru Sunday morning. The bride and Groom will assign their guests to cabins as they see fit. Camp capacity for cabins is about 200 people. Wedding guests will come on a 60 person ferry boat driven by Island staff. We will create a boat schedule with the bride and groom based around their needs for the weekend. Staff will deliver guests luggage to their assigned cabins so the worry free fun can start as soon as you step onto the boat!
Sandy Island offers the use of our on island Chef for your weekend away! We set up a rehearsal BBQ dinner Friday night, followed by a bon fire & S’mores. Saturday will be a buffet breakfast and lunch for everyone to enjoy, and a morning brunch on Sunday. The menu for these meals as well as your reception meal will be discussed and planned with the bride and groom.
