My bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law, and I all went to Salon Nouveau South Bend for our hair and makeup. I felt amazing with how my hair and makeup looked. After my trial, I was looking at pictures and decided I wanted a small change. I called Sheila about 3 weeks before the wedding, and she said it would be no problem. Alexis did a great job with my makeup, remembering the changes we had discussed at my trial 2 months before. They also let my MIL bring her own makeup due to skin sensitivities.
I was a little disappointed by one thing: the timing. When I picked this salon, I was scheduled what time I needed to leave the salon by, not what time I wanted to start. I padded the time I wanted to leave by an hour, and said we needed to leave by 12pm for my 3pm wedding. At 12:40, they were still doing my MOH and 1 other bridesmaid's hair. This meant that the photographer arrived at the hotel before we did, and I didn't get to eat a relaxed lunch with all of my bridesmaids. Instead I shoved a small sandwich into my mouth while one of my bridesmaids put on her dress. At 1:10, my mom, MOH, and another bridesmaid arrived at the hotel and I put my dress on. This was a small bump in the day, and I know the bride before us arrived 35 minutes late, but I really wish there had been more padding in their time. They do this multiple times every weekend, and they should be better able to predict how far behind they'll run than a first-time bride.
Ultimately, I would highly recommend them. Everyone looked great, and the makeup artists and hair stylists are open to suggestion and changing things. Just make sure you give yourself a ton of extra time.
