Rum River Barn & Vineyard

We had a blast having our wedding at Rum River Barn! Buzz was so easy to get in contact with throughout the whole wedding planning process. He worked with us to make sure our wedding was awesome! Our ceremony was outside and we were very nervous of how the weather would turn out. The morning of the wedding it was raining, but we were assured that if we needed to be covered in case of rain that we would find a way. The staff was awesome about easing our worries! The barn was very warm during dinner, which was really unfortunate for our guests. The staff helped us in getting some large fans to plug in around the loft, which helped a ton! We also ended up moving a few of our tables out onto the new balcony off of the barn that they recently added. This was super helpful in spreading out our guests, as well as allowing some of them to sit outside of the heat of the loft, but had the new balcony/deck area not been there, I'm not sure what we would've done - it was tight (we had around 175 guests for dinner)! The heat and how crowded the loft was probably the only things that could've been better- the rest of our day was awesome! The only other thing that I recommend is making sure you know the costs for rentals of chairs and other miscellaneous things before booking to make sure you take them into consideration. We realized after booking that setting out the hay bales and the bridal suite to get ready in was an extra charge. I don't blame the staff at the barn for this, because it was totally our mistake of not reading far enough into everything before booking, but just make sure you ask questions if you're unsure of something! :) We would highly recommend this venue. 6 months later and we still constantly get compliments on how cool of a venue it was, and how we had such an awesome wedding. We have friends asking us to get married again at the same place because of how much fun it was. I highly recommend it! :)
