Barb Wood of Riverwood Photography did an absolutely amazing job with the photography at our wedding. She does not really advertise and instead all her business comes from word of mouth recommendations. She is comparable to all the other photographers I had looked at yet charges a fraction of the amount. And she has tons of experience doing wedding, portraits, and action shots. Barb provided all day coverage, a flash drive with all my photos, and everything uploaded to shutterfly so my friends and family all have access to view and print pictures cheaply and at will, as per our agreement.
But Barb went above and beyond. She came to our rehearsal dinner to get pictures of that as well, which was unexpected. This really helped capture the full story of the wedding weekend. Then on the big day she was there to take getting ready shots (and be patient as we were running a bit behind schedule, first look, all the formal shots of family and wedding party, the ceremony, and all of the reception. Because we were running a bit late I was worried we wouldn’t have time for all the pictures I wanted but Barb kept me calm and made it happen. I was shocked at how quickly we got through the formal shots so we could focus on just enjoying our day with our guests. She has an amazing ability to be everywhere at once and yet never be in the way.
Most surprising of all, Barb left that night after 10pm and spent that night editing together a video of a selection of our photos se to our processional and first dance songs. She came by the inn the next morning to drop off a copy of the DVD for both my husband and I, both sets of parents, and one for the inn. She was up until midnight working on this and was there by 9 am to make sure we got it. I never expected to have pictures so soon after the wedding. It was great to be able to show the video to guests as they were leaving the inn. Plus we had our flash drive and all the photos uploaded within a week. And my pictures are beyond beautiful. There are classic shots, fun and silly ones, as well as cool artsy shots. The whole experience working with Barb was fantastic. I highly recommend her to anyone.
