The River House Venue is a unique opportunity to experience the iconic Montana experience. We offer you the ability to step back into time with the advantages of modern amenities with a touch of rustic luxury. We are situated between the Bob Marshall and Misssion Mtn.Wilderness. The authentic log buildings are designed with Montana and luxury in mind.
If you can imagine yourself under Montana’s amazing skies with mountain peaks, a forest and rivers then The River House is for you. We offer you the entire 20 acres for your use where both of you along with friends and family can enjoy the beautiful wilderness that surrounds us.
The ceremony will stand out and yet integrate into the serene surroundings either by the river or in a canopy of trees. Visualize having an area that feels and looks like a national park yet with the privacy for you to exchange your vows, celebrate and share your love with those closest to you. We only do a small number of weddings a year so we will give you the individual attention you deserve.
Our homestead was established in 1927. We have transformed the buildings into a rustic but luxurious experience. We offer 20 acres of forest, meadow and rivers that are situated between the Swan and Mission Mountains. Our capacity is 130 guests with the ability to house 26 people to turn your celebration into a long weekend.
Tier 1
There are four buildings, all on the first tier, of the property. The home is an original renovated log cabin complete with upgraded amenities such as central AC, an updated kitchen, original stone, and log work - bringing the natural world into the comfort of today. The home is decorated with rustic luxury in mind. It has been said that before it’s restoration, a local grizzly bear found solace for hibernation in the basement.
Next is The Confluence Cabin, which offers more options for guests to stay, couches and tables for comfort, blankets for ceremony, small chapel or reception use, and electricity.
The third featured building is our Gathering Place, a renovated barn with numerous sleeping options, large sectional sofa, pool table-pin pong table, television, and full bathroom.
Completing the outbuildings is The Bar Barn, an early 1900s barn turned into a bar with classic Montana elements and dive bar aesthetics. The interior features seating areas in the old animal stalls, cocktail tables, and rustic decoration while the exterior features a 12-foot-long bar. The entire outdoor bar is made from logs and wood found on the property.
In the middle of all four buildings is a stage for bands, dancing, DJ, or whatever you wish to present with the SwanMountains as the backdrop.

A grassy meadow that can be used for the ceremony, reception, or dining, with the Swan Mountains acting as a perfect back-drop.
​Tier 3
The pathway to the river, forest, or confluence of the Swan River and Glacier Creek - all of which would be beautiful places to say "I Do."​
