We has such an amazing experience with this vendor. I could not have gotten this wedding planned without Casey Collins their event coordinator! She was absolutely calm, informative, and easy to work with. The food was great. Overall, the price for venue, food, and beverages was very affordable. Great and beautiful space for a mid sized wedding with riverfront views!

The river inn was nothing short of exceptional! We loved the genuine staff and the outstanding service!!

We had a beautiful low-key wedding along the Mississippi River, thanks to all the staff at the River Inn, and especially thanks to Jennifer Rorie, the event manager. We were initially a little worried as we went through 3-4 event planners over the span of our engagement and wedding, but Jennifer quickly assuaged our fears. She was very organized and proactive in making sure everything was addressed in advance of our date.

The staff at The River Inn also expertly navigated the effects of a natural disaster to make sure we had the perfect wedding. When both power and gas went out from the major storm the night before our wedding, we arrived on the morning of our wedding to find Paulette's providing our guests with an ever-expanding choice in breakfast, and Jennifer and the owner of the River Inn assuring us of all their contingency plans to make sure they would be able to serve us and our guests for our reception that evening.

We were also pleased with the food service through Tugs. Keri, the manager, and his staff were very considerate about having specialty options available for guests who had food restrictions (gluten-free, allergen free, vegetarian, etc.). They even made our signature wedding cocktail from an old family recipe for a very reasonable price! We cannot overstate the efficiency of the River Inn. From the highest levels of management to the wait staff who worked our wedding, everyone was extremely courteous, thoughtful, and willing to do anything to assure we had every detail in place for our special day. We are surprised how affordable this location is (compared to other Memphis venues), considering their high standards for quality service.

I didn't give this venue 5 stars because it was terribly hot in the venue, the air was on but couldn't keep up, maybe because of all the windows in the venue. We couldn't dance too much because of the heat! The food was a bit over cooked, & some of the white linen were stained. We needed to rehearse before the wedding, we had a hard time doing so even though I asked the manager if we could use the space a week before the wedding to rehearse she had said it was ok to do so. However the day of rehearsal we had a hard time trying to rehearse they said people were in the venue, and using the outside space where we needed to practice, I was so irritating. On the brighter side the venue was beautiful after my decorator finished, the appetizers were good except the crab cakes were over cooked. If they would fix the air, have a guaranteed rehearsal day without you worrying about customers trying to eat, and make sure all their linen is clean. It would be a beautiful venue! I feel it was over priced for what we got but hey we made it work. I would only recommend this venue if they would fix these things.
