I have known Richard and Tara personally for a handful of years now, and they are both amazing people individually, as a couple, as parents, and as photographers! It was a no brainer for me when we got engaged to inquire to Richard and Tara for our wedding date for photos, and I was so grateful they were available!! From the beginning, their communication was excellent!! We enjoyed our engagement session this summer, as it helped us get comfortable with being photographed! We were both apprehensive with how it would go as we had never had photos taken professionally, but we were so pleasantly surprised!! Richard and Tara helped to lead and direct us with posing and different creative areas for photos, and after this engagement session we felt so much more comfortable and excited for our wedding day!! Flash forward, Richard and Tara were THE BEST on our big day!! They captured all of our important moments, and even some unexpected ones!! They did a wonderful job of staying on track with all of our family shots and obtaining so many beautiful images the day of!!! I was so excited when reviewing our photos with how many beautiful pictures of our guests they obtained, which will help us remember our day even more vividly! My husband, our families, and I could not recommend Richard and Tara more highly. We had an amazing experience working with them for our wedding. Richard and Tara were communicative, helpful, and professional. Starting with our engagement shoot, they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The photos for the engagement shoot and the wedding turned out PERFECTLY, and we received both galleries earlier than we ever could have hoped. One of the unexpected perks of working with Richard and Tara was their general wedding expertise--they talked us through the decisions of whether or not to do a first look, which family photo combinations to do, you name it! They made us feel super comfortable going to them for advise. We came to trust Richard and Tara implicitly, and they felt like true allies on our wedding day in making everything run smoothly. HIRE THEM!

Richard and Tara were amazing. They are super easy to work with and helped us organize our incredibly large family so we could get pictures of everyone. I wouldn't use anyone else. The pictures are fantastic! Absolutely amazing!!

Richard and Tara were WONDERFUL to work with. We felt so comfortable with them during the entire process. They were so kind, knowledgeable, creative, and very efficient. They knew exactly how to get the best photos. We had a lot of fun with them and they got along so well with the entire group. They made taking photos a fun part of the wedding day, as opposed to it being stressful. I would highly recommend them for any event, they are an absolute must!!

We originally hired Richard & Tara before the pandemic and we finally tied the knot in July 2023, so we’ve known them for about 4 years now. We absolutely made the right decision hiring them. Richard & Tara were an absolute a joy to work with. They clearly know their business inside and out. They know exactly where to be at what moment and they work as a well-practiced team together to capture the best shots. Also, their cameras are whisper-quiet – I never once the whole day noticed the shutter sounds, which I think put me more at ease throughout the day instead of being reminded that every moment was being documented, and resulted in better photos! We also had planned for a member of the wedding party to be our “photo wrangler” and call people up for efficient portrait shots after the ceremony, but that was totally unnecessary because Tara had it under control and was an absolute pro. Richard undeniably has an eye for photo composition; for example, in seconds he can see that out of a group of 6 guests, half have darker suits and half have lighter suits, and he’ll space them evenly for a symmetrical photo – all in a matter of a couple seconds. Simply amazing. They also did not bat an eye at a donkey being the ringbearer. When we got the photos (only a week after the wedding!), we just could not believe the quality of the work. We spent hours flipping through them and re-living the day, and some shots just took our breath away. They also employ some light image editing; for example, my hair started to get super frizzy after the ceremony and the MOG’s sleeve ripped, and Richard & Tara just edited these little problems away in key shots so they wouldn’t distract from the captured moment, which was very appreciated. The gorgeous box of printed photos and thumb drive sent to us about 6 months later was also stunning and an instant heirloom. We will treasure these photos for decades and decades to come.

We loved working with Richard and Tara! They were fantastic to work with to get everything planned and organized for our wedding. Neither of us are huge photo people, but Richard and Tara made our engagement and wedding photos so easy. Richard and Tara sent all of our photos to us within a few weeks and we can’t stop looking at them! We also liked that a second shooter was included with the photography package.

I first encountered Richard and Tara when they photographed my friends wedding. Their professionalism and quality of work were equally as impressive then as it was for our wedding. When we had the opportunity to work with them personally for our engagement shoot, we knew we had made the right choice. They are both so fun to work with, it feels like you have two friends behind the camera instead of two complete strangers. Their guidance and instructions on how to pose helped out so much, since we are both so awkward when in front of a camera - they made us feel like models and knew they would capture our best sides. On our wedding day, we know that getting through family and friend photos would be no easy feat, but Richard and Tara did it efficiently and with enough direction that we were able to catch up on time when we were originally running late. During cocktail hour I loved that Richard and Tara were there noticing who we were taking selfies with so that they could step in after and take a professional photo. They were also so helpful throughout the day in ways that I'm sure go out of their scope of work - telling the kids to smile (and not stick out their tongue) during photos, telling me if the groom had walked up to the front of the aisle, and (Tara) helping to bustle my dress when my bridesmaids were struggling with it. The day after the wedding everyone commented how great the photographers were, and said they would now be lost without them telling us how to pose in pictures :) And the best part is that they were so easy to communicate before and after the wedding. And our pictures were received sooner than expected. If I ever have a need for a photographer, or if a dear friend or family of mine needs one - I will recommend them over and over again.

Richard and Tara are phenomenal! They were super easy to work with and helped us remove all of the usual awkwardness one may feel when taking posed pictures. Both of them were super responsive and we cannot believe how amazing the photos looked. We absolutely recommend this awesome duo!

We are SO happy that we hired Richard and Tara for our April 2022 wedding. They were so easy to work with and communicated well throughout the planning process, engagement photo shoot, and wedding day. Very professional and fun to work with. They took so many beautiful photos that we will cherish for years to come. We were also so impressed by how quickly they got the photos to us -- only a couple weeks after the wedding.
