About
Shortly after completing my business degree at Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY, I exchanged a promising career on Wall Street for a path that would lead to Ramesh Newell Photography. Four years, thousands of pictures and hundreds of clients later, I am still passionate about this journey.
Based in Kingston, Jamaica, I've worked with track and field #Sub10King Asafa Powell, and dancehall powerhouses Kiprich and ZJ Chrome. I bring such a level of professionalism to my commercial engagements that I have retained client relationships with organizations such as the Jamaica Gleaner, The Ministry of Youth and Culture and the Jamaica Insurance Brokers Associations. My clients have come to know that I will show up on the hour, or at the ninth hour if they're in a bind.
I am fluent in 'bride' and understand the jitters, the anxiety and the joys that their grooms try to hold together until that first tear drops when she walks down the aisle. And I never miss *that* shot. That superpower has enabled me to develop relationships with my Wedding clients that last long after the wedding day. My wedding photography style is clean, simple, elegant, and allows you to re-live the day just as you saw it through your eyes and stir those very same emotions you felt from getting ready until you told the last guest goodbye.
I believe in you have to be prepared to be spontaneous; so my carry-on is always ready for Barbados, the US and wherever the journey leads.
My work has been featured on magazine covers and national newspapers, and my portfolio includes editorials and fashion photography I have maintained relationships with MAC Cosmetics, On the Shout Records and the Bronx Media in New York
When I'm not rushing to meet a deadline, I enjoy building on my own creative journey and love for landscape photography.
I do whatever it takes to make happy and satisfied clients. They will tell you that I am creative, energetic and do whatever it takes to get the shot but you can meet me over coffee, I am a tea lover myself, to have your own Ramesh Newell Photography experience.
