We planned a destination wedding so from the moment this planning began I didn’t know where to start. I found Purple Zebra by chance (via internet search) and reached out to them right away. After one conversation with them I felt that they were the DJ for us! They took the time to understand our musical tastes and about different genres of music. Our biggest goal of the wedding was to have folks well fed and enjoy good music. We continue to get compliments on how great of a time our guests had therefore I have several comments to make so please bear with me:
*Jennifer & Aaron were always responsive. We set up an initial conversation about 6 months before the date and from there they kept in touch via email and text to answer my questions along the way. They also provided examples of order of events (upon my request) to help me plan the reception entrance and evening.
*Jennifer took the time to get to know me (as the Bride) and what our guests might like vs. not like. We had a few DNP songs and they did a great job accommodating our wishes with regards this list.
*On the big day, the set up and take down of equipment was almost so fast that I didn’t even notice they did it. They seemed to have no issues at all and worked very quickly to complete these tasks so my guests were not bothered by any moving of equipment.
*I found the price to be well within our budget. Everything that we asked as far as length of play time, start and end times were accommodated easily within this budget. I paid the day of (at the start of the reception) and then tipped mid-way through the evening based on their professionalism.
*We also felt heard and respected our playlist and genre. Even accommodating a last minute request (from my now husband) at the end of the night that was not on the playlist we provided him.
The bottom line is they are a very experienced and professional team and I would recommend them for any event. Thank you guys...you know your stuff! ~JD
