I called Provo Bakery to do my wedding cakes because everywhere else had insanely high prices! I ordered four round 10" double-layered cakes. (They weren't meant to sit on top of each other or anything, so they were pretty simple.)
I was able to order different cake flavors and fillings for each cake. I also ordered different frosting styles for each cake: raised polka dots, basket weaving, etc. They were very willing to make each cake exactly as I wanted. (I did have to call in later to change one of the cake flavors and we miscommunicated about whether I was changing the filling or the cake batter. So instead of chocolate filling on a white cake, I got a chocolate cake.)
When I went in to place my order, I paid about $90 for four cakes. I got a call a few days later saying that I had been charged the birthday cake price instead of the wedding cake price. (The wedding cakes cost more because of the expensive frosting materials and the cost to pay a more professional froster.) I had to go back and pay about $70 additional. Although it was annoying to have to go back, their price was still amazing in comparison to everything else that's out there.
On the day of the wedding the cakes looked wonderful. They also tasted great! We saved half of one cake and ate it on our one year anniversary and it still was delicious! I think I will order from them again to celebrate our next anniversary.
