This florist has recently changed hands, we were involved in 2012. When dealing with them the year before, there was no special person in charge of weddings as there is now. 4 of us attended the consultation, were very specific in the colors we wanted for bridal bouquet & corsage. We wanted 2 colors in the bridal bouquet, even left a swatch of 1 of the colors. That color was not included in the bouquet. Also we had discussed 1 of the corsages to be "blinged out" with teal color, pics, etc & a silver ribbon. Only thing on it was a teal bow. When the flowers were picked up just a few hours before Wedding time, there was no time to start over then, so the lady that picked them up didn't say anything at that time. Even if there had been time, the florist had nothing in the shop that was the correct color. And who has time for such, 4 hours before a Wedding? When the owner was contacted a couple of days later, she immediately was on the defense, insisting colors were correct, even after admitting she wasn't there that day, was on vacation, so she didn't even see them. Turned into a not-so-nice 30 min conversation, when I only called to let her know they weren't right, did not ask for $$ back or any other type of compensation. The last 5 mins of the conversation is how the 1st 5 min should have gone, with an apology. Said whoever was the most picky should have picked the flowers up, so it could have been remedied at that time. I think that everyone is picky about matching wedding colors. Months are spent in preparation of a Wedding and color matching is part of the preparation. I am now to e-mail or take her a picture of the flowers when get pictures back, so she can see. Phone conversation very unprofessional. I suggested that we should have gotten a phone call, once the flowers came in and didn't match, so that we could have gone to see them before the bouquet was made. It was even insinuated that only the person that paid for the flowers should have an opinion, not even the Mother of the Bride. All 4 of us that were at the consultation noticed, including the Bride. Very disappointed.
