About

I started Piper and Finch in 2016. Over the years, I've worked with wonderful clients that have helped Piper and Finch find its distinct and unique design perspective.
Each and every invitation we create is a work of art. Using only the finest and most luxurious materials, we pride ourselves in our process and the products we use. This is why we use antique letterpress machines, paper sourced from around the world , and hand-dyed silk ribbons. These small details allow us to curate invitations that evoke an old-world sense of beauty that is unparalleled.

Bailey Pain is the owner and designer of Piper and Finch, a stationery that marries a unique perspective with timeless design. She draws her inspiration from her clients' stories, bringing history and meaning into each piece she creates. Her pieces are as elegant as they are meaningful—a combination that makes them perfect for her pieces to be considered timeless heirlooms in her couples life stories.

Bailey is based in the St. Louis area but works with couples from all around the world. She currently lives in O'Fallon with her husband, a London native, Fraser, and their daughter, and two Labradors

I AIM TO HELP COUPLES TELL THEIR PERSONAL STORY THROUGH CUSTOM INVITATIONS, WITH A FOCUS ON FINE PAPER, HIGH QUALITY PRINTING, AND THOUGHTFUL DESIGN. I ASPIRE TO OFFER PERSONALIZED SERVICES AND TAILORED PRODUCTS TO OUR CLIENTS. LET US WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE A MEMORABLE INVITATION THAT IS AS UNIQUE AS YOU ARE!

AT PIPER AND FINCH, EVERY ASPECT OF OUR BRAND IS DESIGNED TO BE LUXURIOUS AND BEAUTIFUL. OUR CLIENTS APPRECIATE THIS QUALITY, WHICH IS WHY I PRIDE MYSLEF ON PRODUCING EVERYTHING FROM OUR COLLECTIONS IN HOUSE. NOT ONLY DOES THIS GIVE US THE ABILITY TO ENSURE THAT EACH PIECE MEETS THE PIPER AND FINCH STANDARD OF PERFECTION, BUT IT ALSO ALLOWS US TO MAKE SURE THAT EACH ONE LEAVES MY HANDS AND GETS INTO YOUR QUICKER.

Bailey did an amazing job and our invitations turned out beautiful. She was able to navigate me though all the different options of what we could do within our budget. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing.

Bad Service and Horrible Communication

Unfortunately, this was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience.

Communication throughout the project was consistently difficult, timelines were repeatedly missed, and instructions provided in detailed emails were often not followed. The overall turnaround ended up being approximately two months later than expected.

The biggest issue was that the final envelope addressing mailed to guests did not match the approved proofs. Formatting, capitalization, line spacing, apartment placement, and surname presentation were different from what we expected based on the proofs provided. Additionally, no final proof of the addressing was sent after the address spreadsheet was submitted prior to printing.

There were also charges and printing upgrades that we did not feel were clearly communicated during the process, which added additional frustration.

The multiple revision rounds were often caused by instructions not being followed correctly, changes being made without approval, and a lack of clarification when questions could have easily been asked. Communication only somewhat improved after our wedding planner became involved.

Overall, the experience lacked the professionalism, communication, organization, and attention to detail that you would expect during such an important part of wedding planning — especially at this price point.

For the amount charged, the level of quality, organization, communication, and overall customer service did not match the experience we expected. Unfortunately, the final product and process did not feel worth the price paid, and based on our experience, I would not recommend this vendor.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
