Phyllis planned our destination wedding at Château du Grand-Lucé in France, and after approximately 18 months of working together, it is difficult to imagine having gone through the experience with anyone else.

Our wedding was ambitious. We wanted an intimate destination celebration that still felt exceptionally special for our guests, with multiple musicians, highly customized design elements, several events throughout the weekend, complex vendor coordination, guest lodging and logistics, and even plans for touches such as fireworks. There were an enormous number of details behind what guests ultimately experienced, and Phyllis was involved in virtually every part of bringing that vision together.

What separated Phyllis for us was that she was equally valuable at the big-picture and very detailed levels. Early in the process, she traveled with us for our venue reconnaissance and tasting, helping us visualize how the weekend could come together long before it actually existed. Over the following year and a half, she helped identify and coordinate vendors, worked through logistical challenges, kept countless moving pieces aligned, and was there whenever we needed advice or another perspective.

And, as anyone who has planned a major wedding knows, not everything unfolds exactly as originally envisioned. When plans changed or unexpected issues arose, Phyllis remained calm and focused on finding a solution. That gave us tremendous confidence going into the wedding weekend.

Perhaps the greatest compliment we can give her is that once the weekend finally arrived, we were able to actually experience it. We weren’t thinking about schedules, deliveries, vendors, or what needed to happen next. We were present with our family and friends while Phyllis and the team worked behind the scenes.

The result was extraordinary. Our wedding was beautiful, elegant, joyful, and uniquely ours. Seeing everything we had discussed for 18 months finally come to life at the château was surreal.

Phyllis also became someone we genuinely enjoyed getting to know throughout the process. By the end, it felt much less like the conclusion of a business relationship and much more like saying goodbye to someone who had shared an incredibly meaningful chapter of our lives.
