Hey there! We are Paula and Nik, a husband and wife wedding and elopement photography team based in Colorado.
We have been photographing weddings and couples for 10 years, 200+ weddings and elopements. Our work is inspired by nature and natural, earthy elements. Documenting intentional, intimate, adventurous weddings and elopements in the mountains. Photographers for all lovers.
We’re all about the beautiful in between moments and less about the posed ones. If you are getting married in the mountains, the desert, a big city, by the ocean, in your backyard or hometown, we photograph it all. I want to photograph your love, just you being you. No forced narratives. I want to document your love honestly, intentionally, and your story to be documented truthfully. You deserve that.
My approach is simple, I believe in photographing the day as it happens. No cookie cutter, boring poses that don’t make sense and that make you feel awkward. I’ll give you all the direction you need during your shoot but also believe in giving you the space for you to be you and capture your connection. I love getting creative at every shoot, trying something different and getting artsy with your photos. Because who wants boring photos that everyone else has? No cheesy, forced or traditional posing here. When you look at your photos years from now, I want you to be able to remember it all, how you felt. Creating photos that will take you back and become your legacy.
I am here not only as your photographer but as a resource. I love helping out with location and outfit recommendations, connecting you with other local wedding vendors, helping put together your wedding day photo timeline to plan for the best possible lighting and experience for your photos. I’m all about open communication and keeping you in the loop throughout the process. I won’t leave you hanging. I want you to have an epic experience because you deserve that.

Natural Candid Beauty
When we decided to downsize our wedding from 200 to 20, she was so encouraging and helped me conceptualize the events of the day. She stayed in touch. Being a COVID bride never felt hard because of her, and I was so excited leading up to our intimate little wedding.
On the big day, she has a natural way of fitting right in. The joy captured in my photos reflect exactly how comfortable we felt with her there, a bunch of people who aren’t used to being photographed. We would absolutely love to work with her again someday as our family grows.

She did a great job making my husband and I feel relaxed for bride and groom portraits and organizing and navigating family portraits. One of the reasons we picked her to photograph our wedding (besides her gorgeous photos) is her chill, laid-back vibe. She is friendly and kind, without being overbearing. She took a bunch of creative photos that are really unique and artistic too. We can't recommend her enough! The Best Photographer Ever!
We did an engagement shoot with Paula about a month before our wedding and it totally put all my wedding anxieties at ease! Even if everything went wrong at the wedding I knew I was still going to have amazing photos of my husband and myself. Paula was great with suggesting places for us to do the shoot (because I totally had wedding brain and could not make another decision) and once we got there she was so amazing with making us feel relaxed and not feel awkwardly dorky in front of the camera. She even got the pictures back to us within a week so that we could have time to print them before our wedding.
For the wedding she and her husband Nik were so amazing at putting everyone at ease, getting all the shots we wanted, and all the ones we didn't know we needed. They were right there when you needed them and many of our guests commented how wonderful they were.
All of our photos were amazing- I can't believe how good they look and that it's actually me in them! She truly captured the garden/vintage fairy feel of our wedding and there were so many more photos than I anticipated!
I know how overwhelming finding a photographer can be and what a significant investment it can be, but Paula is definitely worth every penny. She clearly loves what she does and it shows in her photos and and in her personality.
