Alum here. I went to Paul Mitchell back in 2015. I was Sam 44.
I would HEAVILY advise aspiring hair stylists to avoid this place like the plague. Not only do you pay $1000 an hour, for 1,600 hour, you pay for the front desk and, literally, the whole staff, just to play favorites with their favorite blonde, rude, SUPER Mormon girls. All with named like Kylee, Haylee, McKenzie.
I had to go yo La personally, and threaten to contact the Dean, because the front desk wouldn't give me anything that wasn't a scalp treatment.
The staff will fixate on the girls, mentioned above, and "teach" them everything they know, all for said girls to never work on a salon setting.
Out of all those girls got all of the attention they paid for, but I was left on the side to figure it out. Only 2 instructors actually cared, and they aren't even with PM anymore.
I think it's funny how I was the only Mexican for a while, and I wasn't treated fairly. There was an African Portuguese girl that attended as well, and even she said that she noticed how people treated her different, too.
OH! And I forgot to mention, out of ALL those bishes, I'm on of FEW that actually continued in the industry.
For all my PEOPLE OF COLOR, avoid this place. It took me years to gather the courage to speak out.
This place isn't for non white, non Mormons.
I will continue to warn people to avoid this RACIST ASS SCHOOL
