I went to the Paris Parker Aveda in Lakeside Mall to get my hair done. Until a few weeks before the wedding, I didn't think I was even going to have my hair done professionally - I'm not much for salons. But then I decided what the heck, I'm only getting married once!
I made my appointment for the trial and the wedding day, and got matched up with Shelly. She was very sweet, and listened to me when I told her I didn't want to do anything too elaborate. I have hair that is naturally wavy and a little curly, and I wanted my hair to still look like my hair!
On the morning of my wedding I was feeling pretty woozy - anxiety I guess! - and she even sent out one of the other girls to get me a cookie to make sure I'd be OK. I came in without a very clear picture of what I wanted my hair to look like (just really knowing what I *didn't* want), and left feeling beautiful but still like myself - exactly what I wanted. I don't know what else happens at this salon; I just know that I'm glad I ended up with Shelly on that morning!
