Incredibly Creative, Beautiful product!
I hired Kathleen for a unique project - make a wedding video for us using home videos made by our friends and family 1 year prior! I had no idea what to expect, but since she is one of the most creative people I have ever met, she certainly did not disappoint! She created something so beautiful, poignant, and unique. It was more than what we could have ever imagined! On top of all this, she is so easy to work with, prompt, kind, funny, and thoughtful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 100x OVER!

Magical Wedding Photos
Photography was extremely important to me and my husband. It was the third vendor we booked after our venue and catering. With all the money that would end up going into the wedding we knew we were willing to apportion a good amount of the budget toward photography so we would be better able to look back on the day after the fact.

We discovered Kathleen between wedding websites and Instagram and there is no one else like her. We were instantly OBSESSED with her style. She captures an organic magic that most wedding photographers miss. We reached out to her immediately hoping she wasn’t already booked because we didn’t know if we would find another photographer we’d like half as much as her. She fortunately wasn’t so we booked her instantly. She is so professional while managing to be so easy to talk to. She gave us a personally curated photo workbook to better prepare for the day of the wedding including times of day to take photos, what kind of photos we wanted, etc. It was an amazing guide as to what to expect and how to get the best photos from the day. Every step of the way she worked with us on how to achieve everything we wanted in our wedding photography. She also has an AMAZING vendor recommendation list she provided us and we got at least half of our vendors from it.
A few months before the wedding she sent us the most in-depth questionnaire I have ever seen. It not only included a timeline of who was going to be photographed where at what time, but questions about our relations to everyone in the photos as well as our personalities and what parts of the wedding were important to us to capture. We were already so happy with the examples of her work but the questionnaire really showed how seriously she takes what she does and put us so at ease.
The day of the wedding she was ready to go before I was. She scouted out the area we wanted and chose her favorite places and angles to shoot. Even when we started running late for family portraits (our fault not hers) she stayed calm and strategically used every minute rounding up the next group while the current one got into place. She captured the whole day seamlessly. Our guests loved her and even approached her to take photos of them throughout the day. She was so good at blending into the crowd and candidly capturing moments that we didn’t even notice she was there half of the time. She went out of her way to follow up with us the next day and even thanked us! She truly is the best and we can’t wait to see our photos. I would recommend her to everyone and anyone. She is in a class of her own when it comes to wedding photography.

So Happy!!!
Working with Parenthesis Photography was a dream! We looked at a number of photographers in our search, but Parenthesis' portfolio impressed us. We loved how the shots managed to be candid, yet artfully composed. However, what really cinched the decision for us was our introductory phone call with Kathleen. She made us feel so at ease, it felt like we were talking to a good friend. My wife (then fiancee) and I have always felt un-photogenic and uncomfortable in front of a camera, and so we knew we had to go with this person with whom we felt comfortable. Throughout the process Kathleen was very kind, thoughtful and polite. Most of the time, we hardly knew she was taking pictures of us and when it was time for portraits, we never felt like we were posing. Both before and after the ceremony, all communication with her was great. When she sent us our photos we couldn't have been happier. She clearly worked very hard on our wedding and capturing our best moments. We'd recommend her to anyone looking for someone to not document their special day, but create works of art you can treasure for the rest of your lives. We are so glad we went with such a professional and wonderful person.
