About Best Place at Pabst
Best Place's history & tradition offer a venue unparalleled in Milwaukee. With both indoor & outdoor spaces at the former Pabst Brewery we will help to create a magical & memorable event! There are two venues available, Blue Ribbon Hall & The Great Hall, both beautiful & historic, each with their own unique charm. Recipient of numerous “best of ” awards and one of Milwaukee’s most desirable and iconic event spaces, Best Place is the ideal venue.
Blue Ribbon Hall along with it's associated outdoor courtyard are actually located within a school built in 1858. The buildings reflect the architecture of the early Renaissance of Germany of the 15th & 16th centuries. Remodeled in 1940, the room is adorned with colorful fresco murals, ornate architecture and period furniture & artifacts. In the warmer months the outdoor courtyard is a ideal spot for weddings.
The Great Hall, the original corporate headquarters of Pabst Brewing built in 1880 and includes the former office of Captain Frederick Pabst. Renovated in 2014, "Great" is an understatement, as the original stained glass windows allow natural light to flood the room. You can see the wonderful Milwaukeean history in the wood flooring repurposed from the old brew house along with the ornate woodwork throughout the room. Below The Great Hall, in what was formerly the infirmary, is the Speakeasy, remodeled to resemble a pre-Prohibition taproom.
