Our Wedding DJ

Music was one of the most important parts of our wedding to us, and truthfully, hiring a DJ for a destination wedding was also one of my biggest worries. I had never heard Lee play a set or attended one of his weddings, so putting the entire energy of our reception into the hands of someone I had never heard perform felt like a huge leap of faith.

From the moment I met Lee, every single one of those worries disappeared.

Lee absolutely lit the DJ booth on fire from the minute he started until the minute he ended — and even when 1 AM came around, our guests were still begging for more. The dance floor was packed all night.

I also gave Lee quite the assignment. I had about five completely different genres of music that I wanted incorporated throughout the night, and he transitioned through every single one of them so seamlessly that it never felt forced or disconnected. He somehow managed to give us everything we asked for while also adding the perfect island flare that made the night feel uniquely Aruba. Dancing barefoot in the sand, on the beach, surrounded by all of our favorite people with the music and energy he created around us is something we will never forget.

And his attention to detail went far beyond the music. Lee even built an entirely new DJ booth setup specifically for our wedding so that it would seamlessly match the decor and overall aesthetic of the night. As a bride who cared about every little detail, the fact that he took the time and effort to make sure even his DJ booth complemented the vision of our wedding meant SO much to me. It was just another example of the level of care he put into making our night exactly what we envisioned.

What truly sets Lee apart, though, is his ability to read a room. If even 20 seconds of a song wasn’t landing with our crowd, he knew it immediately and was already moving into the next. There was no ego and no forcing a setlist — he paid attention to our guests, adapted in real time, and kept the energy exactly where it needed to be all night long.

Lee is a true professional and incredibly talented at what he does. He understood the atmosphere we wanted to create and somehow made it even better than we imagined. Our guests are STILL talking about the music and the dance floor, which I think says everything.

If you are planning a destination wedding and feeling nervous about trusting a DJ you have never personally heard perform, I cannot recommend Lee enough. He was without question one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we would choose him again a million times over.

We had Ourweddj & Nu-Wave as our vendors for our wedding, and thanks to them, the entertainment was an absolute success. From guitarist Criss Kross and DJ Double R to the lighting and special effects — everything was perfectly arranged. Lee and Marlienne have a great eye for detail, and Marlienne is the best MC!

The highlight of the evening was definitely the party — thanks to the amazing music, we and our guests danced and celebrated all night long. Highly recommend!

Lee was awesome from start to finish! He made time to meet with me on zoom months before the wedding to ease some nerves I had! He assisted with the app as needed which was helpful! We also met again in Aruba to go over final things! He got it all perfect! We are so pleased with his service he had the crowd dancing all night!

DJ Croes kept the energy and the dance floor packed all night and MC Tarrick was just so sweet. They made sure the vibes were immaculate and it was the best night of my life because of them!

Lee and Marlienne brought the energy and made our reception extra special! Leading up to the wedding, they were great at communicating and joined vendor meetings as needed. We gave them a playlist to go from, but they asked all the right questions like what not to play, would we accept song requests from guests, etc. They were super detail oriented and followed the timeline that I created perfectly. People even loved the mix of music they played during dinner! Book them. You won't regret it!

Dj Lee and his team are incredible! From the moment the first beat dropped to the last song of the night, the dance floor never stood a chance at being empty. Planning with them was a breeze – super friendly, organized, and always ready with great suggestions. The energy they brought turned our reception into an all-night party. I would without a doubt recommend DJ Lee and his team!

Lee was the best thing we did for our wedding! He truly cared about everything we were doing and if we needed help with anything he was right there willing to help in any way. We heard countless times “the only time we sat down at your wedding was to eat dinner, the dj had everyone up and dancing he did a great job!” And it was true our whole group was up and dancing thanks to him!
The rest of his team with D-Alma events was world class as well. I cannot recommend Lee and his team enough.
