What is the story behind Oscar’s Restaurant Puerto Vallarta?
A riverside wedding venue in the heart of Puerto Vallarta — no venue fee, no room block.
Since 1997, Oscar’s has been one of Puerto Vallarta’s most loved places to celebrate. We are on Isla Río Cuale, right where the river meets the sea, just 5 minutes from the Malecón. Gardens, an open-air palapa and golden sunsets set the scene for your destination wedding.
Why couples choose Oscar’s
- No venue fee. You only pay for the ceremony, food and drinks you choose.
- No room block required. We are not a hotel, so we never ask your guests to book rooms with us. Downtown is full of hotels and vacation rentals for every budget, all just minutes away.
- A central, private setting. No hotel guests sharing your space and no beach vendors walking through your ceremony. The venue is all yours for weddings of 70 guests or more.
- Spectacular food from a real restaurant. Oscar’s is open every day of the year, so your dinner is prepared by our own chefs, not an outside caterer. In town before the wedding? Come dine with us and taste it.
- An in-house wedding planner who guides you from your first quote to your wedding day. Most of our couples plan everything from home.
- Our own tequila distillery, with tastings of Grand Bay by Oscar’s tequila for your guests.
Our spaces
The Distillery Garden for ceremonies and cocktail hours, the Main Garden for intimate celebrations, and the Main Palapa for an elegant riverside reception, for up to 250 guests.
Food & drinks
Signature cocktails, a three-course plated dinner, a national open bar and a kids menu. Vegetarian options and dietary restrictions are always welcome. Furniture, setup, charger plates, glassware, flatware and linens are included with your dinner.
Your whole wedding weekend
We also host welcome parties, rehearsal dinners and recovery brunches. Floral décor, music and fireworks are available on request, and for intimate weddings of up to 25 guests our Petit Celebration is the perfect fit.
Ceremonies start from $16,800 MXN, with flexible payments in installments. Send us your date and guest count, and we’ll prepare your personalized quote!

Best night of our lives!!
Sofia and the team at Oscars did such an incredible job of our wedding that we were speechless when we walked in the venue. I can’t emphasize enough.. if you want to get married in Puerto Vallarta this is the place to do it. Sofia will ensure that you look beautiful, feel beautiful, and have a beautiful wedding - She knows every single vendor in the city and will get the best value that fits within your budget. All of our guests got to experience authentic Mexican culture, nature, and could not stop commenting on how amazing the drinks and food were. THANK YOU so much Oscar’s. We couldn’t imagine a better wedding.

loved my welcome party at oscar’s
I had my welcome party at Oscar’s and it was literally perfect. The team was so accommodating with the rain and moving us to make sure everything was perfect. The drinks and food were amazing and all my guests had nothing but kind words to say! Would highly recommend!

One of the best days of my life

The team is incredibly professional, the food is outstanding, and the venue has a charm like no other. It is truly breathtaking, and no photo could ever do it justice!
I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Sofia took care of every little detail, from the flowers to making sure everything ran seamlessly, allowing my husband and me to truly enjoy our special day without a single worry.
Our entire family was so happy, and everyone kept complimenting the delicious food, the beautiful flowers, and the magical atmosphere.

A Dream Come True
I could not be happier with our choice in choosing Oscar’s. Sofia was so responsive, flexible, and kind. I’m pretty sure she can make anything possible. Any question or concern I had, she was able to ease my worries and had the perfect solution ready for me. On top of the most amazing service of Sofia, the restaurant is gorgeous. It’s authentic, it’s magical, there just aren’t enough words to express how perfect it was. During the wedding, the team was so swift and attentive, I had no other worries of mine other than to be with my husband! The food was delicious, and pricing was unlike anything you could get elsewhere for what Oscar’s offers. Truly a dream. Oscars will absolutely see us again for years to come! We wouldn’t want to spend our anniversary anywhere else ❤️

The BEST Wedding Venue in Puerto Vallarta!
We got married on April 21, 2026, and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more!
By far the best decision we could have made. The décor was stunning, the atmosphere was absolutely magical, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. Everything came together so beautifully, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day.

Exactly the intimate gathering we dreamed of

Highly recommend everything from Oscars
Sofia is the best and has been planning events forever. She planned everything from transportation to dj and photography etc for us. Our day was perfect and stress free. It truly was a dream come true and I can’t recommend them enough. The place is beautiful. The staff amazing and attentive. The margaritas.. the best. I highly recommend them for your wedding or welcome party. And the DJ he was great. Kept everything going and played exactly what we wanted.

Rehearsal Dinner at Oscars
From start to finish Oscars was AMAZING. I had zero stress going into the event. Sofia was very responsive and made the entire day feel so relaxed. DJ is a MUST. The vibes were incredible. Decor- PERFECT. Sofia handled it all and it was so chic and beautiful. The food- 10/10. We did the taco bar and included a DJ. The price was very fair for all you were getting. I wish I could relive this night over!!! Oscars will forever have a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to go back!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. Even though we didn’t have the opportunity to visit in person before booking, Sophia did an excellent job giving us a glimpse of everything Oscar’s has to offer. She made us feel confident and excited about our decision from the very beginning.On our wedding day, everything exceeded our expectations. The setting was absolutely beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for both our ceremony and reception. Our guests were blown away by how stunning the venue was and how smoothly everything flowed.
