Oomph could not have been more incredible. They did hair and makeup for my wedding, and were beyond wonderful. Cody, their wedding coordinator, was prompt and professional in his quick responses when I initially reached out. He made me excited to work with them, and that feeling only continued when I went in for my hair and makeup trial. Cody (makeup) and Megan (hair) were both attentive, funny, and listened to exactly what I wanted. Cody’s application didn’t feel heavy, and it stayed for a full 14 hour day (and likely could have stayed for longer!). Megan absolutely nailed our updos, too. As someone with naturally curly hair, it can be hard to find someone who knows what to do with it, and Megan did an INCREDIBLE job. And they were so funny! They did hair and makeup on my wedding day for myself, MoH and MoB/MoG. They were so sweet and made all of us feel comfortable and everyone looked GORGEOUS. I cannot recommend Oomph enough for their services!

Everyone at Oomph is freaking amazing. I am from NY, so I had no experience with any stylists in Portsmouth, and I was nervous about finding the right place for my wedding hair; I wound up at Oomph at my photographer's recommendation (which just made me love my photographer even more!). I couldn't have done any better - actually, one of my bridesmaids and I are planning to go back to Oomph for color in the near future, we loved it so much (not to mention that their Instagram gives us big-time color and style envy).
Hillary is, in my opinion, the queen of braids (and I'm a tough critic in that department). My hair was just such a "wow" and at the same time, so *me*- it was just perfect. I wish I could add a picture to this review. Alana did two of my bridesmaids' hair, and both their updo's totally encapsulated each of their unique styles. My now-husband's sisters and niece also had their hair and/or makeup done, and everyone looked beautiful.!
On the day of my wedding, there were actually two bridal parties there; not only did everything seem to be flowing so smoothly - the vibe in there was so happy and fun! - but I actually wound up calling my sisters-in-law to see if they could get there any earlier than planned, because things were running AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. When does that *ever* happen? Two bridal parties, which meant the salon was FULL of women (not only those having services, but entourages hanging out) drinking champagne and taking photos, and they were running so smoothly that they were ahead of schedule. I'm still amazed by that, and in my opinion, it speaks to the talent and competence of the stylists, and the awesome environment that Tanya has created at this relatively new salon.
