Choosing Onda Pictures for our wedding was the best choice we could have made. The photos are absolutely beautiful and everything we had hoped for. We also truly enjoyed working with Hanna and Fernnado. They were always responsive and very helpful during the planning process. By the time we got to our wedding day, they felt more like friends than vendors. We really hate posed, strained wedding photos, but we also weren't always sure what to do in front of the camera. Hanna and Fernando gave us great directions and suggestions while still capturing the moment in an authentic way. Highly recommend hiring them to do an engagement shoot as well, especially if you're not super comfortable in front of the camera.

We especially loved that they had the option to include film photography (which is a rare find for CO vendors). Only wished we included the video option! It was actually such pleasure to work with Hanna and Fernando, they are a down to earth couple and immediately felt at ease working with them throughout the process. They were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. Many of our guests even remarked on how helpful they were during the setup. Truly a dream team, don’t hesitate to book them!

Before I describe our wonderful experience with these two in more detail, I just want to say upfront that hiring Onda was easily the best decision we made for our wedding. Their photos were perfect, and the Super 8 video they made for us was unbelievably good. Even my dad, who is notoriously hard to please and always unimpressed, said without hesitation the photos they took were the best wedding photos he'd ever seen. They did a better job than we could have ever hoped.

I will always remember the first time we spoke with Hanna and Fernando. We had already talked to a handful of bland photographers who just seemed to be going through the motions, but these two were different. We made small talk in the beginning of the conversation, and Fernando mentioned they were doing some painting. Something about that line always stuck with me. After our conversation, we had pretty much made up our minds that we were going to hire them.

Still, we weren't really sure what to expect. Our wedding was going to be large (originally estimated 200+ people), our venues an old Catholic mission and a stuffy country club, which, to be honest, didn't really seem to fit with Hanna and Fernando's experience and style at the time. My wife's parents were even a bit uneasy about the choice, not sure if they could handle the task. Well, Hanna and Fernando were more than capable.

Due to COVID, we ended up doing a small formal ceremony with just immediate family on our original wedding date, and then the following year we did the reception as originally planned with a brief, light-hearted ceremony right before. Hanna and Fernando accommodated the scheduling change without issue and worked both events, even though they moved from Santa Cruz to Denver in between the two events, making a road trip back to Monterey for the reception.

Their work speaks for itself. The photos they took expertly captured the emotions of the events and the personalities of our friends and families. They made the Super 8 video of the larger ceremony/reception, and it turned out incredible. We gave them a couple songs to put in the video and they selected the rest, and each one matched up perfectly with the visuals they captured. They used their artistic vision to create the video, and we had no qualms whatsoever about giving them complete creative control over their work. We had 100% trust in them from the start, and that trust paid off.

Finally, as the title says, Hanna and Fernando are both amazing human beings. They connected with us and our families/friends, which certainly added to the beauty of their photos. After our first, family-only ceremony, we had a small gathering at our Airbnb and had Hanna and Fernando take photos for a couple hours. They ended up voluntarily sticking around beyond the time we hired them for, hanging out and capturing some candid, relaxed moments of us and our family. Their thoughtful and easygoing nature allowed them to both blend in while they worked and connect with the subjects of their photos. Despite seemingly being inexperienced, they expertly threaded the needle of letting the events happen in front of them and reacting accordingly while also being stern and direct when necessary to keep things on schedule and running smoothly. They were the best of both worlds.

I would fully recommend Onda to anyone for their photography needs, whether for weddings or any other event. You will get both talented, creative artists you can trust and professionals who can handle any type of event, whether it's small and intimate or large and chaotic. You will not regret your decision to hire them.

I really struggled at first to find a wedding photographer, as I find most wedding photography to be pretty cheesy. Given the crunch of vendors in 2022, I was close to hiring a photographer I didn't love when I saw Hanna and Fernando's work and absolutely fell in love with their art. Their photos are absolutely beautiful and strike the perfect balance of capturing the organic moment while ensuring that traditional wedding photos (family photos, etc.) are also shot. We recently did our engagement photoshoot and not only did the photos come out absolutely incredible, but Hanna and Fernando went above and beyond the entire time. From scoping out the location beforehand (which was a 1.5 hour round trip drive on their free time) in order to send us preview pictures, to making us feel completely at ease during the shoot, to delivering us the photos SO quickly -- it couldn't have been a better experience. Beyond their work, Hanna and Fernando are just solid, kind people. I'm truly obsessed with how amazing the photos turned out, and I cannot wait for them to shoot our wedding in 2022!

Hannah and Fernando were LOVELY and just what we needed for our tiny, low-key COVID wedding. They made us feel completely at ease while also making sure to get a variety of great shots. Having two near-strangers at a wedding with the couple + two in-person guests could have been extremely awkward, but because of who Hanna and Fernando are, it was great! They struck a perfect balance between being friendly and professional. They were also totally down to adapt themselves to what we needed for our sweet but rather strange day -- Fernando even helped set up Zoom for some out-of-town relatives!

They easily accommodated our request for some black-and-white shots on film, as well as taking many digital pictures (we even got a few mini polaroids the day of the event that we put up on the fridge and may never take down -- we love them!) They did a great job editing down what must have been an insane number of shots, and did it WAY, WAY faster than we had expected. (Surely COVID is part of this quick turnaround but we're talking one week -- Rockstars.)

Truth be told, I was hesitant to have a photographer at all -- it seemed like an odd level of formality for the necessarily tiny event -- but I'm glad that my mother prevailed and suggested these two. Based on their website, it's clear they can also handle much longer/larger/fancier events than ours, but it's not every photographer who can scale back. Hannah and Fernando did so beautifully, and we super, super strongly recommend them!
