New Creation Abbey is a Benedictine Community and part of the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA). As a CACINA Catholic community, we are part of a growing number of independent American catholic communities throughout the United States and Canada. Bishop Carl, Father Abbot, whatever you wish to call him, is a very personable approachable wedding officiant.

Bishop Carl is licensed to officiate weddings throughout DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Delaware and Georgia. He would be willing to obtain additional licensure in other areas as well, if needed, ask him!

We will officiate weddings in any dignified setting, and participate with other Christian and non-Christian clergy as may be fitting and desired. For those of the Roman Catholic tradition, divorce is not an obstacle; annulments are not required. While we are Catholic in tradition, we will officiate ceremonies taking into account the sensitivities of many different faith and ethnic traditions and lifestyles.
