Neutral Ground Sound System is one of the most unique experiences found in New Orleans. To say that David and his team were a top highlight of our wedding would be an understatement-- they tied our entire wedding together! Working with Neutral Ground was amazing, they we so attentive to detail and thorough on every request we had before, during, and after the wedding.

Speaking of, after the wedding is what makes David's company so unique. Immediately after the reception, David and his team had previously mapped out a walk down to Bourbon Street with a few stops in between for some drinks (and an amazing dance party)-- all while continuously playing great music on his mobile DJ cart.

To be able to perform such a classy wedding for my wife and I, and then turn our wedding into a mobile party was unbelievable. Our wedding was a night we never wanted to end, and we got exactly that with this fantastic company. Parading the streets of New Orleans after our wedding with our guests made us feel so special, and made it feel like the party would truly never end.

Hiring Neutral Ground to DJ our wedding was the best decision we made, and being able to have them plan our entire after-party was the cherry on top. David's knowledge of music and New Orleans culture as a whole gave us the exact experience we were looking for on our very special day!

We had David as our DJ for our wedding at Margaret Place, and I truly cannot recommend him enough.

From the very beginning, he was incredibly responsive and accommodating. I’m very particular about music, so I created multiple different playlists for different parts of the reception including cocktail hour, dinner, special dances, and the party portion. David handled all of it flawlessly. He played my playlists exactly how I envisioned while still adding his own creative flares at the perfect moments to keep the energy up.

One thing I especially appreciated was how well he handled our ceremony music. Some of our songs were pulled from YouTube, and he cued them perfectly. Every entrance and transition hit exactly when it was supposed to, which made such a difference in those emotional moments.

During the reception, I was able to text him in real time to let him know when we were about to come out, when to skip songs, or when to pivot the vibe a bit, and he adjusted immediately. That level of communication made everything feel seamless and stress free. He also did not take any song requests unless they were approved by me first, which I thought was such a thoughtful and professional touch.

On top of all that, David had played at Margaret Place before, so he already knew how to work with their system and was familiar with Kathleen and the team. That experience showed and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Overall, he was awesome to work with, kept the dance floor going, and honestly feels more like a new DJ friend now. If you are looking for someone who is organized, flexible, talented, and genuinely cares about getting it right, David is your guy.

You can immediately tell Dave is a true audiophile at heart. He puts a ton of thought and effort into his mixes, and it really shows in how clean, powerful, and intentional everything sounds. His mobile DJ cart is next-level—fully built out with seriously loud, high-quality subs and speakers that hit hard without sacrificing clarity.

What really sets Dave apart is his ability to read the room. I’ve seen him play multiple times in New Orleans, and he always locks into the vibe and builds off it perfectly. His depth of music knowledge is impressive, and he consistently curates the best possible energy.

We even flew him out to Lake Tahoe for a private party and after-party, and he did not disappoint. He kept the energy amazing all night and brought exactly the right vibe start to finish. On top of all that, he’s just a super fun, genuine person to be around.
