When you receive your wedding photos I want you to feel like,
“WOW — that’s so US!”
It can be hard to feel present in the whirlwind of the day, and even harder to get wedding photos that capture these moments authentically. With a few simple poses that never feel forced or “too much,” I’ll capture all of the big and little moments that tell the story of your wedding day.
My work will make your wedding pictures not just pretty, but feel like YOU. My goal is always to put you at ease by connecting with you, having a good time, and getting you back to the getting-married-and-having-a-party part. Even if you normally feel self-conscious with a camera around, you’ll be having too much fun to even notice it’s there.

I make timeless wedding photos with true-to-life colors and tangible emotion.
My greatest inspirations are true love and breathtaking spaces, from the architectural to the majestic natural. Every time I pick up a camera, I have three goals: to create beautiful compositions; to evoke your personality, warmth, and love; and to make the session as fun & comfortable as possible.
After a wedding, I often hear that I’ve been a calming presence and that I’ve made taking photos fun, even for people who are usually nervous in front of a camera. By creating a comfortable atmosphere, I make way for the genuine to come forward, making photos that look the way the moment felt.

Brilliant photographer!
Nate did an awesome job for our engagement session and wedding photography. He was a pleasure to work with and was very attentive to our needs. He was able to be flexible and create a custom package just for us! The photos for both sessions turned out amazing – Nate really is a brilliant photographer. I would recommend him in a heartbeat for anyone who is looking for great photos and a wonderful person to work with. He put us at ease during our photo sessions, and we are so happy with how they turned out – we will treasure them forever.

Nate made our day 10x better, he captured all of our favorite moments.
Having Nate as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for or wedding. He truly went above and beyond to capture every moment. He is very professional but he also makes you feel at ease with a laid-back personality. We are beyond pleased with our photos and couldn’t recommend him enough, seriously. Nate captured every emotion and so many details, it makes it fun to look at our photos over and over. I went through countless reviews and websites when looking for a photographer, because we were hiring all of wedding vendors over the phone, and when we talked to Nate for the first time we knew he would be perfect for our wedding day. He truly did make the process so easy!! If we ever need a photographer again, Nate will be our go to.

Never stopped working
Nate photographed our wedding in January 2019 and he was amazing! He never stopped moving and taking photos. He does a really good job of building rapport and making you feel comfortable. He also takes some really good photos and had all 600+ photos back to us exactly a month after our wedding.

We hired Nate Smith as our wedding photographer and it was the best decision we made for our wedding! Can't even begin to describe how wonderful he was to work with. From the moment we reached out to him, his communication was great. He responded to all of our questions within 24 hours or sooner. He even helped us plan out our wedding day schedule. Nate captured every special moment and he did a wonderful job putting our wedding album together. My husband and I are definitely camera shy but Nate helped us feel comfortable being in front of a camera. We had so much fun working with him on our wedding day! I highly recommend Nate Smith as your wedding photographer if you're looking for someone who is confident, love their job, you can trust, and will guarantee to do an exceptional job!

Nate was very prompt in getting back to us about our out of state winter elopement. I had sent him my ideas of what I wanted in the shoot. Soo glad he has an adventurous spirit! He was on point and ready! Whether to hike 2 miles or battle a snowy mountain! He's has such a charming personality and spirit for the unknown! We did our elopement in Februry at Larourell Falls and then drove to Mt. Hood for some snowy snaps. He would have keep going if we hadn't ran out of daylight. Could not have asked for a better photographer! The pic's are unbelievably stunning! Can't wait for him to shoot our next great adventure!

Nate was absolutely amazing, he went above and beyond in helping us plan out our day and find the perfect location. We were flying in from out of state and told him what kind of wedding we were looking for. He scouted out some sites and sent us photos and links for us to look at and kept in contact with us the entire time. When the actual day came he hiked up trails in the rain, down hills to the bottom of the water fall, stoped traffic and stood in the middle of the street and climbed over guard rails in the snow just to get the perfect photographs. I can’t stress enough how much we enjoyed working with Nate, he was absolutely fantastic, very professional and easy to work with!

Nate was the perfect photographer. From beginning to end he is the perfect combination of flexible and professional. As a nervous bride planning our wedding, the photos were the most important aspect to me and I wanted someone who would add their professional expert opinion and still listen to what we wanted- if you're gonna have someone follow you around all day, Nate's the best!
