For our Engagement Photo shoot, he had the perfect locations that worked so well with our personalities. The pictures were absolutely beautiful we couldn’t wait for our Wedding Day! Mike Reed and Barbara - This duo makes for one amazing photography team. When meeting with photographers we expressed a need for direction. Striking a pose can be cheesy and uncomfortable and on a day with so many distractions we wanted to make sure we weren't bumbling our way through photos. Mike and Barbara were organized and artistic. They knew exactly where to shoot, when to shoot and how to control the situation. They made the process very smooth and very fun. I was amazed at the lengths they went to get the perfect shot; laying in the dirt, climbing on chairs and creating interesting noises to get the attention of our overstimulated puppy. If there were one thing that truly impressed us on our wedding day it was how fabulous it was to work with Mike and Barbara. Thanks guys.

I literally can't say enough good things about Mike! He has been an absolute rock for me during our wedding planning - he has TONS of helpful suggestions and he is ALWAYS responsive. I don't think I've ever waited more than 12 hours for an email response - even when I lived in Africa. He had such great suggestions on other vendors and options for our wedding - I ended up taking a bunch of his suggestions. He was willing to work in our budget - we did both an engagement session and our wedding with him. For our engagement session, we were supposed to have 2 locations and 2 hours - we ended up doing 3 locations for 3.5 hours and 4 costume changes - all for the same price. Mike never batted an eye, and actually encouraged it. It was so much FUN (and my husband was not at all into the idea of an engagement shoot but even he had a great time!) and the pictures are AMAZING. I still get compliments on our engagement shoot. For our wedding, Mike and his second shooter (Barbara) showed up on time and ready to go. They were AWESOME. We ran a bit behind for hair and makeup and they totally took it in stride - keeping busy and adjusting the schedule as needed, all without any stress for me. Mike directed the show for our formal shoots and they went very smoothly - even with 2 three year olds in the wedding. Barbara was amazing as well - I really enjoyed working with her. For the wedding, I didn't even notice they were there - very unobtrusive. Mike had all our photos ready for us 2.5 weeks after the wedding - talk about SERVICE! And they are INCREDIBLE. Absolutely exactly what I wanted. All of our friends and family are gushing over them - because they are so beautiful. I know they will be my most favorite keepsake. If I could, I would give Mike a 10 out of 5 stars - he is THAT good. Seriously - he will make your wedding so much easier. Thanks again Mike!

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Mike and his photography. My husband and I live in Austin, but we got married in Atlanta where I grew up. After viewing Mike's gorgeous portfolio online, I contacted him at first to see if he could do our engagement pictures. My plan was to find someone in Austin to do our engagement pictures and someone in Atlanta to do our wedding pictures. Mike responded to my inquiry quickly and we ended up speaking on the phone about what I am looking for in our engagement and wedding photography. I quickly decided that I would also like Mike to travel to Atlanta to do our wedding pictures for us and I could not have been happier with that decision. From the very beginning, Mike ensured that our photography desires were met. We have received countless compliments on our wedding and engagement photography from our friends and family. Mike is always quick to respond to emails and follow up with any questions that we have. He met with me several times during the engagement process to make sure everything was lined up perfectly for the wedding. He is incredibly personable yet knows how to get down to business when time is of the essence. He is such a friendly and fun person and he is very flexible with his schedule. He also gave us great ideas for our photo booth which was a big hit. He had a very fast turnaround time getting our photos back to us which was great. Mike and his assistant photographer did a great job capturing emotion in every photo. My husband and I are extremely happy with our wedding pictures!

This is going to be a rave because I can't say enough good about Mike Reed Photo... hiring Mike was probably one of the best decisions I made in my whole wedding planning process. From the very start, I was impressed by his gorgeous images. With vivid colors and unique angles, he has a way of capturing people and events that is both classy and fresh at the same time. In short, exactly what I was looking for. When I met him, I was impressed by his excitement, his professionalism and his creativity. For our engagements and my bridals, no idea was too silly to discuss. He scoured my Pinterest boards to see what kinds of things got me excited. And on both shoots, he kept us laughing and shot so many amazing images. My husband is not crazy about posing for pictures, but Mike kept us completely at ease and having fun. Our CDs from those shoots are chock full of amazing pictures I am so happy to have and to display.

I live in Austin, Texas but decided to have a destination wedding. I did not know what to do with the photography because I wanted continuation as well as amazing photos. My husband (fiance at the time) did not live in Austin, so he would have to fly in to visit and take the pictures. Mike's schedule was so accomodating. And oh by the way, HE TAKES AMAZING PHOTOS and is up for recommendations. I cannot express how happy I have been with him and the pictures. I have seen a preview of the wedding photos and cannot wait to see the rest of them :) He was definitely the best photographer choice in my book :) Also, he is very personable which makes it even easier!! Mike had wonderful reviews on theknot.com so I decided to have him as my wedding photographer. I am so happy with the decision I made.
Mike took my pre wedding boudoir photo's as well. I have never been photographed much at all so this type of photo shoot was very nerve racking for me to think about. Howerver, I decided to do it. Mike made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! The pictures turned out amazing, the only trouble was figuring out how to narrow all of them down as I loved them all.
Mike also took my wedding day photo's. He was on time (actually early) and did an amazing job on my wedding day. He stuck around ALL DAY And ALL NIGHT long to capture every moment. He was upbeat, accomadating, happy and just a great person and photographer! I will be using Mike for all of my photo's in the future (babies, family etc) and would highly recommend him to anyone!
