Experience
Michael Root has been playing instruments ever since he was a kid, beginning his study of classical music at a small liberal arts school near Asheville, North Carolina. He transferred to UNC School of Arts so that he could be in a large guitar program, finishing his bachelor’s and getting his Master of Music in guitar performance and pedagogy. He recently moved to Las Vegas to pursue a doctorate of music at UNLV and is currently teaching styles of guitar to all skill levels, hoping to become a professor of music one day.
