I obsessively hone what gets put in my kit. If it's not the highest quality, highest performing product, me and it don't do "the dance." I airbrush (I exclusively use Kett, I really don't think anything else compares), I do make up by hand-- frankly, I'd do make up in my sleep if I could! Some of the brands that you can find in my kit are Make Up Forever, Smashbox, NARS, Laura Mercier, Benefit and Bobbi Brown.

I've been in the beauty industry for what feels like forever, but in reality, has been a little over ten years. Make up courses through my veins-- if I were to accidently cut my finger cutting celery, I'd bleed lipstick. I kid you not.

Make up's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about before I go to sleep. I nerd out over blush colors the way the rest of the city does about the Steelers. And y'all really nerd out over the Steelers!

I named my company after a Greek word I stumbled upon quite accidently. I was reading through a list of people's favorite words on a literary forum-- the list was truthfully, epic and awesome and for a minute made me understand why the universe probably couldn't handle life on Mars or anywhere else for that matter-- when I stumbled upon the word "meraki." It was described as a word that meant doing something with soul, creativity or love--"to put something of yourself into whatever you're doing." This is exactly how I feel how when I'm doing makeup. It's visceral.

But as much as I love make up, I love meeting new people. I become emotionally invested in every face I have the privilege of touching. While we may meet as strangers, I promise we'll leave as friends.
