My husband and I loved being photographed by Melissa for our engagement and wedding photos! She gave clear direction while allowing us to be ourselves. She was open to trying new things like smoke bombs, which came out beautifully! I particularly love her aesthetic and her fun, laidback personality. I also loved our engagement shoot she did because it helped so much on the day of the wedding to already know what to do!

From the planning process all the way to the end, Melissa was absolutely fantastic. On the planning and prepping side of things, she was always prompt about returning our messages and getting in contact (in fact, she was better about that than we were, and was understanding that we couldn’t always respond right away). She worked well with our day-of coordinator as well so everything ran smoothly during the wedding itself.
The quality of her pictures speak for themselves. Melissa is a fantastic photographer. Our ceremony was outdoors, and she did a fantastic job of working around the natural lighting and making use of the natural scenery. She also beautifully captured our indoor reception despite our worries over the low lighting levels. Her instructions were clear and effective, which saved us both worry and time and allowed us for more pictures before the sun set. She’s so dedicated that she persevered through being stung by a wasp in the middle of taking pictures of the bridal party.
After the wedding she kept in touch during the editing process, and at the end provided us with over a thousand pictures, all quality. My wife still looks through the photos a few times a week and we’ve been married for four months. Melissa was a joy to work with and a true professional, we wholeheartedly recommend her!
