My wife Denise and I used Shan for our beach wedding in North Myrtle Beach on a beautiful day in late October 2023. We had family fly in for the small ceremony, we were very stressed wanting everything to go smoothly. Shan took care of everything for us, she made our day perfect from our first call to her to the end of the ceremony. She even took a lot of pictures of all of us on the beach afterwards.

My initial call was returned within 1 day, and we were in constant communication via email and phone. Ms Couglin, at one point was more than my officiant - she became part of my wedding planning team, trying to assist me with finding alternative locations when the temp dropped (dramatically)! She was also extremely flexible with the date and time when we had to consider a last minute change 2 days before the wedding!! In the end Ms. Coughlin provided us with a beautiful ceremony, unforgettable vows and toughed it out on the beach (in the wind) in 50 degree weather, while remaining a professional service provider the entire time!! :o)

Shan was great! With all the stress of the wedding and all the issues we had with the venue, she was the only thing that went right! She was professional, yet laid back and talked with us about what we wanted. The ceremony was beautiful thanks to her! My guests loved her ceremony and told us how beautiful it was! I could not have asked for a better officiant! I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married. Shan was very accomodating with all of her services as an officiant. She was willing to get to know us as a couple prior to the wedding. She answered many questions and was extremely thorough in her approach as listing her expectations and duties as the officiant. She was always a phone call or email away after we first met. Shan was a sweetheart on the phone and seemed to be very understanding with the matter of my husband and I being from out of town. She kept in contact with me up until she recieved my money. I then had to call her two seperate times and send her an email to make sure she recieved the money. As the wedding approached I had a very hard time reaching her and/or recieving phone calls back. The day before rehearsal I finally reached her and verified dates, times and locations for my big day. Rehearsal comes and no Shan. I gave her the benifit of the doubt and my wedding coordinator took the lead and showed everyone how things would go the following day. The day of my wedding my coordinator tries to reach Shan and of course... no answer. What a suprise?! So, We wait and wait and 30 mins before the wedding is supposed to start.. no Shan. My coordinator had a plan B... THANK GOD! Shan never showed up. Shan had enough courtesy to call and say... Oh I though it was monday evening. Im sure she is a nice person but she did not do her job! Thankfully she ended up paying the gentleman who replaced her last minute! My wedding was only 30 mins behind schedule and the replacement did an EXCELLENT job!
