We held our wedding reception for 100 at the Maison Montegut and it was perfect! When people say this is a hidden gem in the French Quarter, they’re not lying. We feel so lucky to have found this private residence for our reception. Tucked back off Royal Street, the gorgeous courtyard has the oldest magnolia tree in the Quarter, a beautiful fountain, and is the perfect place for a ceremony or (as we did) a cocktail hour with some passed appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, and drinks. We had our first dance in the courtyard as well – it was a beautiful backdrop and perfect place to gather after a second line. Upstairs, in the house, there’s plenty of space for eating, drinking, and of course dancing! The house is charming and brought to life the French Quarter for our guests (all of whom were from out of town). Jenny, who manages the house, was amazing to work with and her staff were super attentive and friendly, and they ensured everything went off without a hitch. We’ll always remember how wonderful our reception at the Montegut was!

Such a beautiful and magical courtyard to host a wedding ceremony in within the French Quarter. An absolute Hidden Gem. We had about 90 guests and it was the perfect size for a courtyard ceremony here. It was so beautiful and perfect...and unique. I met the owner of this exquisite home on my wedding day and he was so sweet to me and seemed very happy to lend his home to us for our special day. The manager, Jenny, who helps organize everything is so sweet and friendly. IT was such a pleasure to work with her throughout the planning process. Everything was executed flawlessly. I seriously couldn't of asked for a more prefect ceremony experience. I will remember it always. Thank you for making this joyous moment so magical!
