Wonderful food....received so many compliments! However, they were short staffed and blamed our guests for a seating problem- totally unprofessional. They told me not to worry about a thing with table decorations and when we sent someone over to check it out, they were not even close to being done within 2 hours of the reception! I know that this is usually not their respondsiblity, which I was all for, but they insisted that they do them for me. During the cocktail hour, we hired 5 bartenders and they only had 3. The servers had no clue what they were serving and the office manager's teenage son was brought in as an extra and he had never worked there or been trained. They were to offer a wine toast to everyone and instead only some tables got wine and the bottles were left at the tables.

We had a terrible experience with this caterer, and would not have stayed with them If we didn't have our wedding at UW-Fond du Lac. If you use the UW facility then you are contracted into using Linstrom's, but you would be better off find a different place for your wedding. The manager was really non-responsive to any of our questions... Calls were never returned, emails never replied to until the very last minute or until we contacted the facility contact with our concerns. When we finally got the contract in writing, it was not correct, and it took several more weeks to get it figured out. Also in this entire process, the manager, Heather, had lied to us several times about when the contract would be completed. On the day of our wedding they never put out the champagne for the wedding party to toast with until I asked them where it was. They in turn said it wasn't included on their notes, and they ended up putting it out late. I was told we would be refunded for their mistake, but we never got a refund. We never got contacted after the wedding to ask about how it went. We never got a detailed itemized receipt to verify that we didn't over/under pay on things we paid for in advance. We would have called or emailed for this, but I'm pretty sure we never would get the receipt anyways given our previous experiences with them, or they just would lied about it because that is one service they actually are good at. Do yourself a favor and find any other caterer besides Linstrom's.
