Alicia Harb who is part of the Catering department at Lewis Barbecue did a fantastic job with our wedding in April! She was so easy to work with and recommended great options for our cocktail hour and reception food. Any questions we had were answered and she was very organized throughout the entire process. On our wedding day she made sure everything went seamlessly as far as set up and execution! Our guests raved about the food, presentation, and how great the staff was. Lewis barbecue is one of our favorites in town. We’re locals and are frequent patrons of Lewis. We always take our visiting guests here so we were thrilled to have them cater our wedding. Our entire wedding theme was an ode to Charleston so we absolutely had to have Lewis as our buffet caterer. Let me tell you, the quality is just as amazing in their catering as it is onsite. Our guests thought it was so cool that trained meat slicers were present to serve the food. The service included delivery of food, set up, service, clean-up and breakdown. Alicia was our primary contact and she was extremely responsive, helpful and flexible. Can’t recommend Lewis enough!

Being in Charleston, I’ve had the luxury to eat at Lewis BBQ. I wanted to let others experience such great food, and boy did they! The food was absolutely delicious, we had left overs, but not too many! If you choose them, definitely choose the brisket, turkey, Mac and cheese, and collards! People were raving about the food as they were walking out the doors!

In the early stages of planning, we knew we wanted to keep things simple and just serve barbecue at our reception. We live in the South and most everyone I know loves good barbecue, so it's a crowd pleasing choice. We ultimately decided on Lewis, because of their WOW factor. Like seriously, this is barbecue on crack (metaphorically speaking) and will blow your mind with how delicious it is. Our guests were 100% satisfied and could not stop talking about how good the food was at our wedding. Lewis' catering crew did an amazing job! The catering director, Alicia, was so easy to work with and professional. They have an amazing full service package that includes a meat carver and other staff that serve guests side dishes. 10 outta 10... highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Lewis BBQ- my husband and I love here in Charleston and frequent the restaurant often and we knew our families would love trying Texas style BBQ (as opposed to NC style which we are accustomed to). It is expensive, but no more so than a traditional catering company and the product is such high quality and so memorable. We had sliced brisket, sliced turkey breast (don't miss it), hot guts sausage and corn pudding. They also bring pickles, bread, water and ice tea. The way that Lewis sets up the buffet, serves guests as they walk through and has someone slicing brisket to order makes the experience feel like more of a special event than just a casual backyard BBQ. All of our guests raved about the food and many of them were professional chefs who said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. We ended up booking a more casual venue for our wedding and splurged on the food instead- it was worth every penny! So so delicious.

As far as the customer service, Alicia the catering manager was fantastic- prompt and thorough in answering emails and able to tailor the menu to exactly what you want. It was easy and stress-free to work with her leading up to the event. My husband and I both cook in restaurant kitchens in Charleston and have done lots of catering and I have no critique whatsoever on the experience. The guests didn't even notice Lewis setting up during our cocktail hour and their breakdown was seamless as well. The people they brought were super friendly to the guests and made going through the buffet line fun! It's worth mentioning that our wedding planner dropped the ball on some details day-of, but Lewis worked with our other vendors and figured out every hiccup on their own so that my husband and I had no idea that there had been any issues at all. True professionals and they put so much love into their craft. Even if you don't book them as your caterer, the restaurant is a must when in Charleston. Thank you!!!

Lewis BBQ is not only unbelievable they are also prompt, thoughtful and really brought so much joy to our wedding! I am proud to say that my wedding was the first one they ever catered it went off without a hitch and it was purely sublime people are still raving about the food AND service! Having them slice the brisket to order makes a buffet feel like an event. They thought of everything and set up and broke down like true professionals and they worked so well with my day of person. If you are planning a wedding you know all of the stress that can mount up but I'm telling you Lewis takes care of you and they made it so easy for me. I'm forever thankful for the memories that we made!

I highly recommend Lewis' Barbecue for your catered event! We recently used them for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Alicia Khoury, the catering director, is very easy to work with. She responds to any e-mails quickly and is very helpful and flexible with planning. The entire staff was very professional and friendly; their serving table is clean, and they work quietly and efficiently. The food is amazing! The brisket is the best I have ever had, and the smoked turkey is a close second!! Our guests were still talking about the food the next day! Lewis Barbecue was the highlight of our wedding! The food was delicious--exactly what you'd expect from the best barbecue joint in Charleston. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the brisket--and many came from Texas, so that's high praise! The servers were also extremely friendly and offered samples to guests waiting in the buffet line.

Lewis was easy to work with and provided more than enough food and fixins. We would pick them again in a heartbeat!

I honestly can not say enough good things about Lewis. Not only have eaten here about 10+ times since they have opened (don't judge), but they also catered a 55 person event for me 2 weekends ago. Not only is this some of the best BBQ I have ever had it is one of the best restaurants in Charleston with the best people. From the very beginning Alicia (Event Director) was very upfront about any minimums they had as well as what food options they could and couldn't do which I really appreciated. She walked through the menu with me multiple times and was very flexible on confirming numbers until right before the event, which was amazingly helpful. She was so responsive and great to work with! Day of Ben and his team had completely set up their stations before I even got there (30 minutes ahead of schedule), and were even willing to lend a hand on a few random things I had to do leading up to the event. I can not say enough nice things about this crew. Not only did the guests think the food was out of this world (with many from Texas and Kansas City that says something), but they could not stop raving about how nice, courteous and fun the team serving was - I can not thank them enough!! Thank you Ben and Alicia for literally making this event a success!! If you are still reading this review you should probably stop, just pick up the phone and book them for an event...
