If you are looking for an awesome photographer that will eternalize the story of your wedding through beautiful photographs that won't break the bank, then Leighton Jack is your guy. Besides wanting the best wedding pictures ever (which we got!), I told Leighton that we wanted what I described as an artistic, documentary-style photographer that could deliver the best wedding pictures ever, but as a side note, I barely want to see you because our wedding day is about our marriage not you and your camera. I told him a few stories of weddings I had been to where the whole day seemed to be structured around pictures, and while those weddings did have nice pictures, we wanted our day to be about our marriage and not about something as material as pictures. I knew I was asking for a lot, but Leighton completely understood my perspective so I hired him immediately. We had a great face-to-face before the wedding where we got comfortable with each other and established our goals for wedding photography. He made a great first impression and we decided to give him complete artistic control, which was honestly the best wedding decision I made (other than picking my husband, of course). While it may seem a little nerve-racking to not have all your pictures planned out, with the "right photographer" (a.k.a. Leighton Jack), the results will be so much better than anything you could plan, plus you get the benefit of being able to be fully in the moment on the most important day of your life and not worrying about a detailed shot list that will become irrelevant 30 seconds into the ceremony when the first thing doesn't go according to plan (which will happen, believe me!). So if you want to have a beautiful wedding and be totally in the moment with your new spouse all day but also have a bunch of breathtakingly beautiful wedding photos to cherish (and brag about) for the rest of your life, my best advice is to hire Leighton and let him do his thing. You won't regret it.
