Modern Wedding Venue with Great Staff & Food!
We hosted our same sex wedding ceremony and reception at the Le Meridian on 10/28/18. From the day that we initially set foot in the hotel for the venue walkthrough, it was amazing. We instantly fell in love with the ballroom because of how modern it was and the neutral colored carpet and beautiful silver, shimmer walls. The space is nice and so are the steps leading up to the space (perfect for engagement pics and day of bridal party photos) as the whole second floor was reserved for our guests and cocktail hour. From the initial deposit to the day after the wedding, the sales manager, Ms. Tamyra Morris, served as our coordinator and was there every step of the way. She ensured that the hotel staff set up the rooms to our liking and coordinated the room flip as our cermony and reception were both hosted in the ball room. Not only was Tamyra in contact with us and but she also served as the point of contact for all of our vendors. She constantly checked in to ensure they had the correct décor items and delivery times correctly noted. Because of Tamyra, we had no worries in the world on our wedding day as she directed all traffic and schedules pertaining to the wedding!Sent on 01/07/2019
On the wedding night, we were assigned a personal butler, Nola, who was extremely nice and focused on our needs. We had no worries, as she was with us and provided everything we needed(food, drinks, cake cutting services) without us having to ask! Tamyra was also present and made sure our event (cocktail hour, dances, cake cutting, grand exit, etc.) followed the time schedule that she helped us set. From the gumbo to the crab cakes, crawfish monica, etc. the food was unbelievably great; our guests and I definitely enjoyed. In New Orleans, it's hard for most wedding venues to live up to the Nola food standards of flavor and spice so we'd like to give a shout to the kitchen staff!
The houseman, Kentrell was also a big help as he helped with realistic measurements for furniture placement on our many walkthroughs. The front desk staff and supervisor Tayla B. were very welcoming and made the check in/check out process easy and welcoming for us and our guests. The bellmen and valet guys were also very helpful as we were carrying décor to and from our cars to the rooms! They all knew who we (the brides were) and made sure everything went well so I'd like to give the entire Le Meridian staff all 10s!

I booked a room block at the Le Meridien for myself and husband, the wedding party, and wedding guests to stay while in town for my wedding that was taking place in New Orleans as well. Ms. Brenda was amazing!! She took care of every detail that setting up a room block entails for me and was always there to answer any question that arose. I had my wedding block, private dinner, rehearsal dinner, and reception at The W!!!!
My guests stayed there from 10-13 March, and the staff and front desk were just wonderful! Kim, Krystal, and Liliya were the best! They were very helpful, and just so friendly to my guests. Every need was met. Thanks y'll.
The conceirges - Brandon, Travis, DANNY, DON, and Kevin! They were great. They went out of their way to make sure that my welcome bags/itinerary was printed and delivered to my guests. Also made sure that the Acura shuttle was available to transport my guests to NOMA (for rehearsal) and around town. JUST FABULOUS.
The food - AMAZING. They paid attention to all my requirements - great New Orleans cuisine. The crawfish and seafood pasta - loaded with flavor! OMG - the bread pudding, a must have! Boudin balls, seafood platters, the prime rib - left my guests simply happy! And the personal attendants were great. Every time I finished a drink, my husband and I had a fresh one. Dante was so sweet - he was one of the attendants for both the rehearsal dinner & reception, and just wonderful.
Beautiful set up: lots of candles, amazing floral accents, scuba linens, funky centerpieces, tall mirrors, comfortable lounge furniture...I couldn't ask for more!
Tammy Harris-Dupre: I don't think she ever told me "No". After cancelling services with a previous coordinator, I was blessed to have met Tammy. She is the nicest, most considerate person ever! Her professionalism, responsiveness, style, creativity made my destination wedding just FABULOUS. I honestly could not have done it with her and her crew.
