Lavel was a true joy to work with on our engagement and wedding photos. Starting with our engagement photos, my husband and I walked in expecting to feel awkward in front of the camera but Lavel made the entire session fun and very natural. She really got to know us and was so easy to work with when we started planning wedding details. For our wedding, she helped move everything along expertly (even though our ceremony took way longer than we were expecting). Lavel and her second shooter Katherine took INCREDIBLE photos of our wedding party and our couple shots. A bonus was that we received our fully edited wedding gallery in record speed - amazing! I seriously loved our experience with Lavel and HIGHLY recommend her for your photography needs.

Lavel is one of the most creative and patient photographers I have ever met. Her work and skills are so unique, you can't help but love her! She's the only photographer I will ever use.

Well, where do I even begin? I met Lavel a few years ago as a fellow photographer for coffee, and the rest is history. I have unique experience working with Lavel on numerous occasions, both behind and in front of the camera. As a photographer she is extremely talented, knowledgeable, and prepared before every session. She does a great job organizing and directing groups and families in a wedding setting, all while continuing to make it fun, so that everyone has a great time (which is a feat in and of itself)! Her sister and Assistant Lara, is a blast, SO fun, and helps every aspect to run seamlessly. Chenoa, is an amazing photographer as well and is such a beautiful and friendly person. The team they have is and has become a little family, that rocks the socks off of every photography session.

In front of the camera I have modeled for two styled shoots, one turned into my SURPRISE proposal!! 😱 Both times were meticulously well crafted and organized. Lavel worked with my now fiance to plan the most beautiful and perfect setup for him to pop the question... literally made my dreams come true!

Working together, Lavel is one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. She not only invests in people as clients, but she does it to build relationships. Which is something incredibly rare these days! Lavel has such creative vision and the ability to bring it to life! Additionally, Lavel is excellent at giving direction for posing which doesn't feel awkward or unnatural, something that is incredibly helpful! Her work is second to none and never fails to leave me speechless. I cannot suggest Lavel Marie Photography enough! Lavel was so easy to work with, professional and organized. She wasted no time getting all our shots, and truly captured all our special moments on our wedding day! She also got our sneak peak photos back to us within days, and the full gallery within a few weeks! We are absolutely obsessed with her work!

Our wedding was impacted by COVID-19 and we decided last minute to get an airbnb and elope in Taos, NM. We were from out of state and had never been to Taos, and I found Lavel via Google search. I loved, loved her style of photography - not overly bright and not too overly Instagram filtered/moody, but right in between! I also loved how genuinely happy and candid her photos looked, and after working with her I now know that's because that is what Lavel pulls out of you when photographing you. She makes everything feel natural, easy and even in an intimate elopement working with her was so much fun and never awkward or cheesy. Her style of photography is GORGEOUS and we've since had many wedding blogs reach out wanting to feature the pictures and even friends asking to work with Lavel! She is amazing, kind and was flexible driving to us and photographing just the two of us for an elopement. Can't recommend her highly enough!
