If one were to research "Hidden Gem" on Google, one would find a picture of Lago Mar. My wife and I spent quite literally months checking out various beach resorts to hold our wedding. We wanted someplace where friends and relatives from all over the country could fly in and not only attend our nuptials, but enjoy a vacation as well. We were fortunate to have received a referral from a friend to go check out Lago Mar. Honestly, it took one step into the lobby and we both knew our search was over. So close to the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, not to mention all the offerings of downtown Ft. Lauderdale, the largest beach in Ft. Lauderdale, two beautiful pools, a Spa and so many other amenities for families, the large rooms (suites), the Lago Mar Resort and Club offered so much more. What further distinguishes Lago Mar from all the others are its' people. From the fantastic Claudia Gutierrez, the Director of Catering & Convention Services who took all our worries away, to Chef Phil whose food offerings were amazing to all the many service people who never could say no to us for anything and were immediately on the spot for each member of our wedding party at any time. We can't wait to return next year for our first anniversary.

Debbie is incredible! She worked so well with us and even walked down the aisle with our flower girl/sign holder when her brother decided he wanted to walk with me instead. The entire staff went above and beyond

I found out of this venue through a friend who had her daughter's quince back in December 2015. Since I experienced the service, I stopped looking and made my mind that this will be the perfect venue for my daughter's quince as well.
The place is really a hidden gem of Plantation. Debbie's team is very professional from Cheff Marshall, Service Captain Nivio, bartender and waiters. The food was delicious. I got a lot of compliments from my guests.
We used www.soundfunparty.com for DJ services. Rodrigo did an awesome job as always! From my daughter's friends to adult guests enjoyed his awesome music. One of my daughter's guest congratulated her for being the first party he had attended to that all teenagers had a great time!

For photography we used http://gastelbondophotography.com/, he was recommended by a friend, very professional and knowledgeable. My family was very pleased with this kindness and professionalism.

They will be in the best of hands, with Debbie , Chef and the crew. They made my niece dreams come true, as always.

It was my husband's 70th birthday celebration. Lago Mar Country Club was the perfect venue. It was clean and elegant. I found it through Google and the moment I entered the office, offered coffee by the pleasant host, I knew that was it. The professionalism of host Debbie Guzmon and staff, the reasonable cost and quality service were awesome. This was not the first place that I had looked at. I also tried the do-it-yourself venue, and the cost was about the same, but nothing to compare with the service and the ambiance Lago Mar provided. Debbie is an angel. I recently moved from New York, and had not much help here and Debbie became my perfect party planner. She provided great ideas and helped me enormously. Well over one hundred guests and they all remarked how excellent the party was and how did I find this place. Kudos to Debby, Chef Marshall, Nivio and the dining staff who worked tirelessly to make sure that when we look back on my husband's special day at Lago Mar, it will be with a sense of pride. Chef Marshall, the food was excellent! Well all I can say, is that I will start planning for our 40th wedding anniversary in 3 years, and we already have the venue - Lago Mar Country Club. Yes, this place is perfect for weddings, anniversaries and birthday celebrations which requires excellence and a touch of class.

The venue was beautiful for our teacher's retirement party. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and event coordinator was wonderful. We would love to have another party there at Lago Mar!

We hosted 100+ people and it was truly amazing! They catered all of our needs and Debbie was there helping and supporting us through every step. Debbie and her amazing team are an absolute delight to work with.

After calling so many places and trying to work with catering directors who don’t really care to work with you, never return calls, don’t follow up and leave you waiting for days to get an answer, I was lucky to find someone who not only cared but was willing to please and go the extra mile to make your event a success. I hosted my daughter’s bridal shower there and couldn’t be more pleased with the professionalism and customer service she provided. She took care of every detail even helping out with the décor or other matters that were not her responsibility. Chef Marshall, Nivio and the dining staff worked tirelessly to ensure that everything would be perfect which indeed it was.
I highly recommend Lago Mar for any event, their venue is beautiful, excellent staff and great food, one can’t ask for more!!!
