Hi y'all, I'm Kara. I consider the preservation of your wedding day to be an invaluable honor. I'm excited you're here, as it means you know the power of a story told in movement.
I've had a camera in my hand for over a decade, and since 2019, I've had the joy and honor of helping newlyweds feel comfortable, confident, and candid in front of a lens on one of the most important days of their lives.
I am so lucky to have videos of both my parents and grandparents' weddings, and I get chills from watching time preserved in moving color. Those videos are a gift to me, and remind me of my why: providing an heirloom to couples as they grow a new branch of the family tree.
I spent my childhood summers traveling to Colorado, where I first fell in love with mountains, and it's where I believe I do my best work. In my free time, I write poetry and am a vocalist in an a acapella group. I continue to hone my love of music through the selection of your backing score and allow it to influence my pacing in editing.
I've had the immense honor of capturing love against all kinds of sublime backdrops. Some locations include emerald-soaked nature scenes like Aspen Meadows Resort, the Chautauqua Mountains, and Millennium Park in Chicago, or vintage and architectural beauties like the Cleveland Museum of Art, Longue Vue Club in Pittsburgh, Greystone Castle in Boulder, and the Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis.

Our only real concern with hiring a videographer was the fear that adding another lens would make our day feel inauthentic. The last thing we wanted was to feel like we were "acting" at our own wedding. I candidly shared this with Kara, and she was absolutely incredible about it. It’s not always easy to tell a professional that you want them to be invisible enough that you forget the cameras are there, but she was so understanding and respectful of that vision.
On the day of, she was the perfect balance: a "hype woman" when we needed a boost, but a total fly on the wall during our most intimate moments. Watching the video back now, there are so many shots where I think, "She was there?! She captured that?" because she did such an extraordinary job letting us just be ourselves.
