The food at my daughter's wedding was delicious! How often can one say that about food at a wedding?!? With Kenmare, you can count on it. We had a multi-cultural wedding and Kenmare worked with us to represent all the different cultures in the menu, as well as make sure there were options for various dietary restrictions from vegetarians (we had a wonderful lentil cassoulet as a vegan entree option) to the lactose intolerant. The food and the passed apps were all beautiful and tasty. They worked with us to stay in our budget, and yet make it very special and elegant. There were a few changes in staff over the course of the year as we went through the planning process and to Kenmare's credit the transitions were seamless, and through handoffs they made sure to make us feel well cared for as a customer.

Best Wedding Food Ever.

We had our wedding reception at Germania Place on Sept 19, and Kenmare is their in-house caterer. WOW. The food really enhanced the night and impressed everyone! We had multiple comments that it was the best wedding food many of our guests had ever tasted.

I was practically drooling reading the initial menus and trying to narrow down what to try at our tasting. In the end we finally selected our menu and were so happy with it. They have a great variety that I'm sure would meet any theme or taste. They were also so easy to work with about any special requests.

We had hors d'oeuvres, a 4 course dinner, and late night snacks. Different guests had different favorites from each - there were no "just okay" items, everything was superb.

We would definitely recommend this caterer, no matter what or your event is, or where you are holding it!

Kenmare was AWESOME!! We worked with Genevieve who was professional, organized, flexible, friendly and amazing. She had lots of things going on at work at the time so on a few occasions it was hard to get a hold of her, but when we needed her most she was there and ready to go! For our tasting, my sister was in town and we wanted her to join. Kenmare was very flexible and allowed all 5 (parents, sister, us) to attend. They served us so much food and it was all delicious...very hard to decide! The diamond package, which we decided to go with, was perfect. It included plenty of hors d'oeuvres, starters at the table, bread basket (YUM!), the cake (they give you two options of bakers but allow you to find others too), main course with 2 sides, coffee station, chocolate and fruit table (the guests LOVED this), and end of the night snacks (we had fries in a shot glass and sliders). I cannot say enough good things about the food, the service and the quality of this vendor. I would recommend Kenmare and Genevieve to anyone!!!

guess I am going to be the first one to write a review on Kenmare, and happy to do so. THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!!!!!! The food is delicious, the people are fabulous!!! (Haley and Reid awesome!!!).. Haley just knew what was I was taking about with out even talking. My vision was her vision, she put herself in your shoes. Very understanding. LOVE HER!!! The food is delicious, my parents, well my dad wanted pasta at my wedding and well he likes his pasta "al dente" and well my wedding was the best wedding of the century well at least out of all my cousins and sisters. People are calling me and telling me how they ate all the food and it was a first for them. It was the My Big fat Italian Wedding, and the people who hate "wedding food" called and told me how delicious it was.
We did have a few gliches (one glich, which you can only tell in the pictures), but it came unnoticed because of the venue, and the awesome service, waitstaff A++++++. Haley AAA++++++++++++ with bonus and extra credit points.

Katie is an amazing chef and I loved working with Gen and Macrina. They were with me every step of the way. Worth the price for the mouthwatering food and very professional customer service.

Where do I begin...Basically, the food is great, but customer service is terrible.

We got married at the School of the Art Institute Ballroom and did not have a choice in caterer. Needless to say, we were a little nervous. During the contract phase, the sales girl was great. Very attentive and threw in some nice extras at no additional charge.

For the tasting, we were able to have 4 people attend and was able to try everything I requested. Alot of decisions are made during the tasting and I wanted to make sure we were both on the same page. I had emailed many times requesting a summary of choices made and got no response.

At the wedding, there were a few things that were wrong that could have been avoided if they would have communicated the decisions made at the tasting. None of the guests knew of course, but it annoyed us.

On the positive side, we got TONS of compliments from our guests on the actual food. Many people stated it was the best wedding food they ever had.

We ended up overpaying and they were supposed to give us a refund check. We had to hound them via email and phone. The president responded and said it would get taken care of. Two weeks later (and over two months after our wedding), we finally received the check...and it cleared.

I would rate the food 5 out of 5 stars, but the customer service a 1. At the end of the day, our guests thought it was great and that's really all that matters.
