Katie was is incredibly talented and professional. She works with models for magazine shoots and can make you feel just as beautiful on your wedding day. I was so lucky to have Katie as my make up artist an hair stylist on my wedding day. She was able to take my ideas and make them even more beautiful than I had imagined. I truly felt more beautiful thank I ever have in my entire life. That's what you want on your wedding day, isn't it?

Katie came recommended by my wedding planner so I booked her for my California wedding in July and paid her $787 deposit to reserve my spot, despite not being able to do a trial with her first. The contract I signed with her stipulated a $500 fee for cancellation within 3 weeks of the event, she also assured me that if the trial was unsuccessful, she would refund the deposit.

Upon completing my makeup trial in May (for which she charged an additional $600), I was unhappy with the final product and length of time (3 hours) it took Katie to complete my makeup. Consequently, I cancelled Katie for my wedding and kindly asked that she return my deposit at which point I was told that she would not refund any of the deposit. After much back and forth she finally agreed to return 50% of the deposit but never followed through on her promise despite multiple follow-ups.

Ultimately, I was out $1,387 because of my dealings with Katie Nash in addition to having to hire another makeup artist. My personal opinion is that there are much better makeup artists in the San Francisco area that cost less and more importantly- operate their businesses with integrity. Look elsewhere.
