Joel is the PERFECT DJ. He kept our guests on the dance floor all night and kept the energy alive. We had multiple guests tell us he was the best DJ they have ever experienced at a wedding and that they wish they could book him for theirs. I would recommend Joel to anyone!

Everyone had an amazing time - he had everyone dancing. My biggest concern was to make sure everyone was dancing and having fun and he accomplished that. He read the room - if people weren't dancing he transitioned to another song. Everyone loved Joel!

Joel is absolutely phenomenal and we were so fortunate to have him at our wedding. I planned my wedding out of state, Joel emailed me multiple times and called me 3 times just to check on how things were going. Both my husband and I felt like we were seeing an old friend by the time we met Joel on the wedding day which made it that much more special to us. Joel's amazing and fun loving personality aside, this guy has got serious talent. He was born to DJ and MC. This is not a DJ who will just play the songs you request and leave, he will tailor the entire night specifically to you and your guests. He entertains the guests with games while food is being served, he is epic on time management (and will adjust things as needed), and he jumps right out on the dance floor to keep the party alive (and teaches them the new dance moves). You're going to want to hire Joel for your event. Trust me. He's gold.

Joel Gibbs is absolutely amazing! We emailed him our music list the week before the wedding, as we had very specific versions of songs. He was able to play every version that we had requested. We played 1940s/50s music from the seating before our ceremony, during cocktail hour, and during dinner. While we gave him some specific songs to play, he was able to choose music that fit well with our theme.

Joel has a wonderful game he plays for buffet style dinner for tables to "compete" to be served first. He then played the shoe game with us which was hilarious!

Joel is more than just a DJ--he ensures the timeline for the entire night goes without a hitch, he dances AND entertains the guests, he interacts with the bride and groom to make sure they're enjoying their night, and he is able to read the crowd to get them on the dance floor! We had a small wedding of 45 (I was concerned with people possibly not dancing), but he still managed to make everyone laugh, have a great time, and dance the night away. At the end of the night Joel came up to us and congratulated us.

If you are on the fence, don't be. Just hire Joel. He is incredible at what he does and my husband and I cannot thank him enough for his friendship and the amazing job he did at our wedding! We trusted him and just told him that we wanted people to dance and have fun, and let him play whatever music he thought would accomplish that. And he far surpassed our expectations. He gets involved on the dance floor and has such great energy! I was overwhelmed in the few days before our wedding and had sent him our music selections a bit last minute; but he executed everything during the ceremony and reception perfectly. It was the first time he had DJ'd at our venue, but you would have never known. We had a lot of nontraditional music choices for different portions of our wedding, and he played them all to perfection. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My husband and I went to a wedding in Arizona and had the pleasure of meeting Joel Gibbs who was the DJ. We knew right away that we had to have him at our own wedding the following year. We got his information and found out that he was more than willing to travel to Colorado and DJ our wedding. He made everything really easy and smooth, played all of the music that my husband and I wanted but it was the personal touches that he added to the night that made him exceptional. He asked for our wedding colors in advance so he could match. He had fun games that he played with the guests during the night that made sure everyone was involved. He had a request line so that the wedding guests could dance to whatever their hearts desired. And at certain points he even got out on the dance floor to show the wedding guests just how it’s done.
Joel was truly the hit of our wedding, as I was told repeatedly from almost all of our guests! The night was definitely more fun and very entertaining with him there. I could not have asked for a better DJ.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Had games planned for dinner as well as during dancing. Played songs for all ages including Frozen for the children :) he was very quick with responding to emails and was able to play all the songs we requested. Could have been at the wedding for hours more! Good dancer also :)

Joel is FANTASTIC! I would give him 6 stars if I could - he is that awesome. He was our DJ and emcee for our March 8 Windmill Winery wedding. He was everything we hoped for and more - great interaction with our guests. Seriously never a dull moment - he was even out on the dance floor with us. He was the BEST hype guy we could hope to have. We are still receiving compliments on him and his style almost two weeks later. We hope to utilize his services again for future events. HIGHLY recommend. He's a great time!

I don't even know where to begin saying the Joel was amazing! It's been 2 months since the wedding, and I STILL have people telling me he was the best DJ they have ever seen at a wedding. He was truly entertaining, and got involved with my guests. He even got out on the dance floor and had fun with us, and that was fantastic! I seriously feel like we hit the jackpot with this guy!!! I can't tell you how many of our married friends came over to tell us how jealous they were of our DJ. We've always sort of felt that a DJ can make or break a wedding, and this one MADE IT. He kept our guests entertained and engaged and DANCING! The music selection was great, the games were great.. the overall vibe of the night was so fun, and I know he is responsible for this. Every DJ should just go take DJ lessons from Joel Gibbs because he knows how to keep a party going. I was sad when our wedding was over! 100% recommended!
